That would be, without doubt, the most ridiculous signing in the history of football

Scaloni Is The Messiah wrote:Again, it's the same ridiculous argument. Over and over.

Just because there are things I criticise about the owners conduct their business, does not mean I think I could do better. This is a football forum. It's sort of how it works. I'd have thought given how long we've all spent here, we'd have worked it out as a group by now.

All the footballers in our squad are better than any of us at football.
Our manager is a much better tactician and motivator than any of us.
Our chairmen are more successful businessmen than any of us.
Our scouts are better are assessing talents than any of us.
The groundsman has a better record with the grass on the pitch than any of us do with our respective gardens.

The logical extension of your viewpoint here is that nobody should ever share any views on how the club should be run, who should be playing where, who we should be signing or how our owners should be conducting their business.

It's exactly what this website is for. Ridiculous to call people out for making criticisms, and using that same deeply flawed argument.
Your criticism without willing to accept anyone else's opinions that differ to yours and the condescending nature of a lot of your replies has lead me to bite in this thread. If you had been a bit more respectful of other posters (particularly Trap and BO), I probably would have shown you a little more respect

The logical extension of your posts and the terminology used in the overly critical nature of your posts is that you feel you could do a better job than the current owners... glad to clear up that you can't. Its easy to be overly critical of other isn't it?

Yeah this is a football forum and you are entitled to shoot anyone who disagrees with you while making sweeping (inaccurate at times) comments if you like... as am I

Ricardo.
bristolhammerfc wrote:Barrera has told the club he wants to stay, but Sam may have other ideas
Fantastic news! Sam likes his wingers, he should want to keep him. Letting a player of Pablo's potential leave would be a mistake imo.

Bristol...

Big Gus reckons we got nothing for Demba Ba and he's gone to Newcastle as he had a walk away clause in his contract. What did you hear? Not saying you're wrong...just interesting how your two stories conflict.

Rocketron wrote: As has been said before; when all the players are on holiday, what's the point of him being in London?
Have you proof that ALL the players are still on holiday? it is not what I hear! and I don't go for the trash that BFS has a mobile phone in Spain! he should be here in London and working the few skills he may have in securing the players we need to get promotion, that is IF he has any pulling power?

I am not that impressed with the guy full stop and the current situation does not help in gaining any respect, he has got so much to do and I know I am not on my own! I will be man enough if I am wrong I hope the same from those who got excited so quickly.

This I really like. Nothing superb last season but out of the spotlight I think he could be good, definitely got some skill, just needs to get on the weights! (If you watch Soccer am)

Apart from anything else it shows a bit of loyalty.

As I said before, press speculation is off the mark. TBH, even his main agent has missunderstood and it's him briefing the press. I have been told that the contract includes "is free to speak to other clubs". Ba's team take that to mean "is free".

Strike action most likely outcome. His medical condition is atrocious though so any move might yet be scuppered by that.

If we get Nolan, where do you reckon he will play? Can he play as a nr 10 in a 4-2-3-1 formation? Playing this formation would be really nice:
------------------Noble-Hitz(if he stays)
----------New winger/striker-Nolan-Collison
--------------------Piq/CC/ new striker
These guys, backed up by Barrera, Sears, Stanislas, LBM and maybe Jack Cork or some other young DM would do very well in NpC.
