Re: The January 2013 transfer window
I can't understand why we wouldnt at least want to have a look at Butland. I'm sure we would be a more attractive place to go than Stoke. I'm dreading the thought of getting Robinson. I thought our days of being a retirement home were over.

Re: The January 2013 transfer window
I am in an incredibly depressed mood regarding today.
I hope to be proved wrong, but I can just see everyone else strengthening with ourselves adamant that freebies and loans will see us through. Risky business, it may work but I have grown up seeing plans backfire. The West Ham way.
I'll be happy when this day is over..

I'd be more than happy if we were to land Ollson and Stekelenburg.
Re: The January 2013 transfer window
Love the excitement of transfer deadline day. But why the hell does everything get left to the last day.
Get on Stekelenburg as we need a decent goal keeper.

From sky
Valenciennes chief Jean-Raymond Legrand claims to be in talks with three Premier League clubs over Nicolas Isimat-Mirin. West Ham, Newcastle and Fulham all linked.
I think I read somewhere the other day that they wouldn't let him leave til the summer, regardless if a deal is done.

Re: The January 2013 transfer window
Why anyone thinks BFS will drop Jussi needs a reality check themselves.
He has been a favourite of his for years and as has been show Sam loves his little favourites (just got to look at the number of ex bolton players in our team).
Robinson is Jussi mark II in my opinion and will probably be on higher wages so I'm not sure what the point of that deal would be. As others have said would rather take a punt on young Butland.
I'm worried for us. We are obviously going to lose Diame (probably to ****ing QPR) and will have no time to replace him which will be a huge loss. Our defense has fallen to pieces and as pointed out by several we lack an actual goalscorer in any of our strikers which is embarassing. (as much as people argue Carrol is, he certainly didn't show it in his first 10 or so games for us).
Also is it me or does Sam and most of the players look alarming defeatist of late. What happened to our team spirit?

The team spirit went when Downes went. The Dublin trip, Wally leaving, the free-fall in form ........ somethings going onJuniorBilly wrote:

The board won't actually pay for a player. They spent their money on Jarvis. Thats your lot I'm afraid!Hammer Harley wrote:I can't understand why we wouldnt at least want to have a look at Butland. How many of our team actually cost a fee? Not many, they are trying to keep us up on a shoestring, cobbling together a squad of freebies and loans. They are only interested in moving grounds.

I think we should have banning orders on the most knee jerk hysterical posters on days like today.

‘We’ve got a stadium that holds 18,000 people and shouldn’t be paying big wages. Newcastle’s ground holds 55,000 and I bet you most of their players won’t be earning what our players are. So that is a problem.’westhamirish wrote:Samba cost 12.5m apparently and on 100k . Dont worry guys we were never going to pay that.

Re: The January 2013 transfer window
Do we think our owners might panic a bit seeing teams around us spending money on trying to stave off relegation, You never know it might see them release funds (we havent got) and get 2 players in, lets face it relegation if it does happen to us (which i dont see happening) would be a disaster.

Perhaps a ban on those who still think the world is square! a forum is about opinions & last night was Bad!Georgee Paris wrote:I think we should have banning orders on the most knee jerk hysterical posters on days like today.
I agree would Sam drop Jussi? NO! this is another one of his bad attributes he is too close to his own ex players as well as not willing to change tactics.
Why would he not speak to the Press, I do not like that from Managers!
