They're more likely to keep players because their country is dangerous? Perhaps true of Turkish players but the foreigners will now want out and it will be difficult to stop them.hamagram wrote:Also..word in turkey is that a Tore deal is looking more unlikely following events in Istanbul and throughout Turkey, culminating In the Ataturk airport attack. Clubs unable to attract foriegn players to replace sales.
Besiktas announced this morning that a deal for Gomez is now unlikely for that reason.

Anyone else reading Milik as Milk? Would Milk be a better option than Valencia?Chapel Hill Hammer wrote:Thanks Amsterdam most enlightening
I thought he was worth a bid but perhaps Janssen is the better option

He needs to get on the weights.

Re: A £20 million plus striker: The summer transfer thread
I remember people on here adamant that we should sign this marquee striker in Jan, not only to give us a good chance for getting top 4 but to avoid missing out/struggling to sign someone now.
I'm not in the panic camp as it is so early now, but how right were they? Lacazette in Jan would have been cheaper, already here & ready for pre season and us possibly in the champions league if he did well!

Apparently the mail think we've been offered Kovacic. If that's the case we should be all over that. Would be the second best player at the club.

Is there a single Beşiktaş that we haven't been linked with?
Re: A £20 million plus striker: The summer transfer thread
So basically:
Ashley Fletcher to join.
Mario Gomez is 1 of 10 striker targets we're interested in but a deal looks unlikely at the moment.
Will continue looking at other big name targets across Europe to get the best possible deal.
