Nordtveit was mainly playing CB this season - in the Bundesliga for a team that finished in the CL spots.

I don't really know why Burke who's been playing in League 1 would automatically, or logically, be ahead of him this season.

Then again, Slav seems to think Antonio is a fullback so who knows?

I don't think it's a case of Burke being ahead of Nordteveit but Burke would take Tomkins place in the squad, meaning we don't sign a direct replacement for Tomkins, instead promote Burke. I think with injuries next seasons etc. then Nordtveit would possibly move into central defense ahead of Burke due to top flight experience etc.
