If crystal palace don't finish above us now I reckon they'll get relegated.

I can't believe 26m on Ayew and Masuaku and some loan fees is the extent of our ambition, yet people are still reeling off net spend b*llocks, which ever way you look at it, we're being tight asf...

Palace will have a forward line that would walk into our team :thdn: .

Ayew in theory was supposed to be our Remy, we just got unlucky.

You can call it that. But maybe you dont put you brand new signing straight in the first team - in case he hasn't done a proper pre-season?

He'd played in Swansea's pre-season games. He'd had as much game time as plenty of ours. It was just unfortunate.

Slightly off topic but how many players that Sam got to change agent are left here now?

Funny that, as Ayew played in all bar the first pre-season friendly which he missed the first due to coming back late from international duty, and the last one on Aug 6th as he was signing for us

Palace have a decent starting 11 and a **** bench, we'll finish comfortably above them. People need to stop getting worked up over them.

Benteke, Remy, Wickham...

Palace have done brilliant there.

When everyone is fit, I think it's hard to argue this isn't the best squad we've had since the premier league began. Granted a right back and a top notch striker would be the icing on the cake but overall you have to be happy with the talent at our disposal now.

Sakho and Valencia to go before the window slams shut and another forward in and I'll be delighted :scarfer:

I still think Palace will go down.

Payet - Lanzini - Antonio - Carroll

shits all over

Zaha - Cabaye - Townsend - Benteke

You lot just get worked up when another club signs someone.

Getting Sakho out and getting someone else in is the key.

Even RB isn't a massive problem with Byram looking good. Obviously we lack cover there, but Nordtveit can play there worst ways.

I have no problem with Valencia, and it wouldn't bother me if he stayed.

I'd rather have Benteke than Carroll but the other 3 aren't even close.

We'll bring in Bony or Zaza or someone similar.

We've got 4 better wingers on the books than Palace, our midfield of Kouyate, Noble, Obiang, Nordveit and Lanzini is better than anyone in their lineup. Our fullbacks and defenders are better.

I wouldn't settle for Remy here and I wouldn't pay £27m for Benteke.

I'd have taken Mandanda on a free. We finished 20 points above them, they've spent less than us and are still nowhere near our level.

Sakho is our best forward so I don't want to see him go unless we get someone whose better. It's the same old story with Carroll he will only play about 20 games this season. The owners are not just going to buy a player whose not going to improve the first 11. I really hope we address this striker issue before window closes but I bet you we end up with some terrible loanee who no one has even heard of. (Yet they did score 20 goals last season in the Australian super league or something).
