The summer transfer activity looks interesting, and not just for us. There weren't any top dollar signings yesterday, and with the Chinese continuing to buy players from the Prem that will be even more loaded next window with the increase of the TV revenue, it'll be an interesting few months.

I think it's fair to say we will sign:

Zabeleta and Defoe on frees, then depending on Swanseas status our only signing worth money with be Siguardson, another player that doesn't fit into our current system (see Ayew).

I am bitterly disappointed that we have all been merrily coaxed up ££££ creek with exaggerations and lies. They say the only way to create change is to be change, I just for one tiny spec of West Ham's existence will no longer go to watch after a silly amount of years doing so. There is a lot more to it than just the epic fails of the past 3 transfer windows but it all plays a part.

I'm going to get in trouble for sharing this, but someone at the club has leaked the official plans to me...

***West Ham London OFFICIAL Summer Transfer Window 2017 Targets***

1. JS to pass 100k Twitter followers.
2. New hat for DS. Preferably a Panama on loan with an option to buy.
3. Cabinet post for KB. Brexit to be announced as "most successful move ever", trade deals with Trump and Erdogan to be completed: "fascism just needs a re-brand".
4. DG would like a new bag of Werthers Originals but will wait until January 2018 if DS confirms the manager is happy with the club's existing bag.

---

We'll obviously need to wait on no. 4 but all the others seem achievable. :scarfer:

Well that would be progress as we didn't even get any of those this window.

Expect nothing then anything is a bonus.
We won't be able to attract top players so we'll end up with a smattering of 'out of contracts' the odd 'Joey Barton' and a Championship player.

With respect to the jokes about whether this thread should be locked or not, I would just like to have my say by arguing that, when our Chairman is coming out suggesting that we will make a big signing in the summer, I think that it is perfectly reasonable for us to start speculating about who this big star might be.

So, I hope that this stays open if only to keep that 'promise' at the front of people's minds. Don't let them off the hook again.

We really shouldn't waste our time anymore trying to work out what they will do.
There is no plan, everything is reactive to where they are at that moment.

We will target at least 1 player from each of the relegated clubs IMO. Maybe Pickford at Sunderland, Defoe ? It wouldn't surprise me if they go for Sigurdsson. They obviously have previous with dealing with their board. Doubt that he would be cheap but he would be our marquee.
I think we were looking at the Hearts RB but he got injured - he is on a free in the summer so they'll probably rekindle their interest there.
If we can get rid of Valencia for say £8m - £10m and Feghouli for around £7m, I could see that money being brought up to around 20m and we will buy a top midfield powerhouse DM - Capoue at Watford ?

If we could keep Carroll fit and Sakho has sorted himself out then Carroll, Defoe, Sakho and Fletcher would be a good 4

Pickford / Randolph
Paterson / Byram Reid / Oxford / Burke / Fonte / Ogbonna Cresswell / Masuaku
Antonio / Ayew / Fernandes / Noble / Capoue / Kouyate / Obiang / Snodgrass/ Lanzini / Sigurdsson
Carroll / Defoe / Sakho / Fletcher

Oh yes and Westley

One thing I'd say is that I reckon Cresswell has been "got at". He could go. We would get "Payet" money for him despite his indifferent form recently. We would probably go cheap on his replacement and use the fee for Hart

Could maybe nick some of Leicesters players if they go down. I'd take Vardy, Okazaki, Fuchs, Gray.

Fabregas and Hart.

In reality it will be Jack Rodwell and Jordan Pickford.

For sure Defoe, who we all turned our noses up at when he returned from Canada (was it?)

Settle for 4th bottom again. :asleep:

I think we need to be thinking about integrating Cullen, Burke, and Oxford into the squad next season. You never know - we might have Nobles long term replacement and a right-back right there.

Joe Hart 15m
RB 15-20m
Siggy 25-30m
Batshuayi 30m
LB if Cresswell goes to Liverpool 15-20m
Cullen to replace Nordtveit

100m-115m

Out
Adrian 5-8
Feghouli 10m
Tore
Calleri (unless he comes good)
Nordtveit 5-8m
Sakho 5-8m
Valencia 8-10m
Arbeloa
Cresswell (if liverpool want him, sell him for 20-25m)

Net spend around 55m
But this is all theoretical and would never ever happen under our shitty owners

Might as well lock this thread now. Will save 600+ pages of complete b*llocks about the marquee signings we will make and then ending up with a load of *****. Just don't believe a word that our board say, don't renew your season tickets and hopefully these shysters will eventually feck off.
