ExWHU has suggested Pastore and Mawson are still on.

Did I get that right? Happy days.
Still leaves Sullivan plenty of time to start his usual dicking about to allow the big money moves to fall through...

With a massive improvement in possession and creativity in midfield and defense I'd expect goals to be far from a problem even if Arnautovic leaves
I hope you're right , Cellar-door , I hope you're right - if we manage to sign both Anderson and Pastore I guess there will be chances created and with Hernandez on the end of them I suppose we'll get the goals - if we could keep Arnautovic and sign those targets we could be one hell of a side .

Just seen on Twitter that’s Di Marzio reckons Anderson will be in London tomorrow to complete the deal. €30m + 20% sell on clause.

How refreshing it's going to be to FINALLY have some pace in the team.

My goodness, I'm actually getting excited about football again. Please don't let us down again Sullivan.

Jinxed has also acknowledged that we're talking to Swansea about Mawson, as well as PSG about Pastore. Both ITKs seem to be in agreement on the current status on Fabianski, Diop, Anderson, Pastore, Mawson, Seri, and Marlon Santos, whom both are claiming we're just waiting on a work permit.

It's kind of nice when both of the ITKs seem to be generally in agreement as to the progress of things!! :scarfer:

If Lukaku comes with Anderson (not sure if it happens at the same time with Lukaku in Russia), and we get Mawson, and Marlon/Diop, and Fabianski is done, that will be some serious defensive reconstruction.

Edit- I should note, while Pellegrini is most known for the 4-2-2-2 he also has played a 4-2-3-1 fairly often and even a 4-1-4-1 at times. Additionally often one of the two "strikers" is anything but a traditional striker, but instead a small quick winger slid inside.
According to ' West Ham Rumours ' Ironmike it's not going to be Thauvin .

Hi fellas NO bids or interest in Thauvin this kind of money we haven't got this is wide of mark IRONMIKE.

To be honest, I'd have expected some shrewder buys to pad out the squad. Every player can't be between 20 and 30 million. We just aren't that rich! Was expecting to see more like the goalkeeper link above... low cost options mixed in with the expensive. Nice to see that he wants to take some of the youngsters to the Switzerland camp - this could be last chance saloon for the likes of Samuelson.

Really hope one of them is Mawson. The only thing that disappoints me about the current transfers are the lack of Brits. We really need at least one more Brit, especially if we're shipping out the likes of Burke, Antonio, Hugill, Cullen, maybe even Carroll, if the speculation is to be believed.

The last Jinxed said about Mawson though (I think) is that the clubs are miles apart in their valuations.

Antonio, Arnie, Fredericks & Anderson... Opposition are going to need to be very wary on the break

Bloody hope not, he was useless when we had him in midfield.

Haven't seen that from Di Marzio, yet. Fabrizio Romano, who works with Di Marzio and is a reporter for Sky Sports Italy is saying that Lazio's president will be in London to finalize the deal tomorrow, at the terms stated above.

I have no idea how good Diop, Andersen, Seri or even Pastore are. It amazes me how I've remained so ignorant when all around me are experts. Hope they turn out alright.

I have a dream that it's actually someone else's money, but the buyout won't be announced until after the window.

Fredericks - free
Fabianski - £5m ish.....
Anderson - £26m (allegedly including 'bonuses')

That's only £30m-ish

Out: Burke, Cullen, Oxford, Snodgrass, Hugill ---- probably Adrian.

Not much net at all.

The club makes tens of millions in profit each year - it should be able to add at least 2-3 more at £20m apiece without selling first teamers.

Think we should try again for Rafinha if we sign Andersen

Would prefer him to Pastore
