And will he play deep midfield alongside a more defensive type, or will he be one of our playmakers?

If he plays deep then where does this leave Noble? I would have though Wilshere and Noble together would be a disaster waiting to happen from a defensive point of view

To put a bit on context. Wilshire isn't wanted by spurs, Liverpool, man u or Chelsea. Therfore he is about right for us. Slight chance he will return to being a 80 million pound player....more likely he will shine amongst a shower of Shiite. Pardon?

The Wilshere - Evening Standard thing is just the way it works. A lot of stories are written ahead of time with just the finer details left to fill in so that the outlet can get the news out straight away. Important in the digital age. Obviously the author clicked the wrong button instead of save draft. Any kind of election / result will often see two stories written up to cover both.

I thought JW looked excellent for Arsenal last year, what a talent. Personally I'd play him further forward his ability to pick a pass is excellent.

Read a lot of stuff last year about how he has changed his lifestyle, doing yoga, vegan etc and that has helped him.

He certainly seems focused to play otherwise he would have stayed at Arsenal, a focused 26 year old, doing the right things off the pitch to ensure he plays as much as he can on it, with the talent he undoubtedly has....... Yes please.

As for Sakho and Payet (not that I believe it personally), no thanks

I reckon the ex player was Defoe and we said no .

Remember seeing a story about a week ago about how he was upset about the way he left west ham . Sounded like he was fishing for a contract/money.

FWIW - Ex has just confirmed he was talking about Payet, also saying Payet would be happy to return as his personal issues have been resolved.

The story was that the fee would be more than we sold him for though. We sold him to Tottenham for over £10m - no way would we pay that for a bloke who is 36 in October.

I would have Payet back at Westham.

Even he knows that if he pulled any more rubbish and refused to play etc it would tarnish him forever and no other club would want a sniff

Maybe mate, but I'm sure I read that Marseilles need money - so depends on what you read/believe I suppose!

West Ham have been offered the chance to sign Dimitri Payet from Marseille. No, it’s not 2015. Player’s reps have contacted club. Manuel Pellegrini mulling it over and has sought advice from senior players #whufc

Let's get behind Jack. If he can average 30 games a season (like he has over the last couple of seasons) then he will be a real asset for us.

Sounds like it, but ex is saying he is getting his info from other places who wouldn't have that agenda. Not that I believe his every word... I just want it to be true!
