The only way I can see it happening is if all European teams agree for the window to close at the same time, IE 31 July 1t midnight, which isn't going to happen!

I seem to remember that next summer it's been decided by UEFA that all transfer windows will close before the season starts. The Premier League have just chosen to do it a season early after all the messing around last season after the actual football had started caused disruption.

Don't quote me on that, though, I can't find anything that supports it online.

The way he has played since his injury, and how poor he was at Stoke i think its wise to stay well away

I recon we are done now for this transfer window - If there are funds available, I think they will hold them for January.

People saying a Hugil loan out is pointless. I disagree completely. He ah basically zero game time last yeah and if we are asking for 7mil for a guy who hasn't played for a year a loan to a lower league club could be just the thing to put him on the shop window and prove he is a good player at lower levels and get someone to pay for him. Why would we keep a player who isn't playing when we have signed a backup striker.

Just seen that Andre Gomes is currently injured, I wonder if that will have any bearing on what sort of deal we might do.

But that is happening anyway. It just so happens our season starts before anyone else. Bundesliga doesn't start for another two/ three weeks (IIRC)

Unless the start of the seasons are aligned, which is hard to do, our transfer window will shut earlier

Just been stated as such on Talksport i.e. end of first week in August for all of Europe to close transfer windows..

I don't want to jinx this, but given the speculation a few weeks ago, I think one of the better things about this window is that we have appeared to have kept our best player, a proven premier league goalscorer, at a time when at least a couple of the Big Clubs are in dire need of someone who can finish.

Most like they want something to show for the final day, especially should nothing else happen. Previous transfers have been delayed a couple days (at least) also mind for what ever reason to announce, the video* perhaps as Jack is still on a Sinclair Spectrum remember.

* Oh and they need to think of an alternative to a taxi ride vid from norf London. A bike maybe a good option as we are full of bloody cycle lanes here now.

Why on earth didn't you wait until after 5pm tomorrow to post that. FFS if this **** happens it is YOUR fault now.
