Barely hearing anything from the board, conducting business early, buying well, strengthening coaching and playing staff alike and crucially keeping the players we've wanted to keep (so far!).

Hope this is a sign of things to come.

Hear, hear! They're a bunch of c**** but they have delivered in a big way this Summer on all fronts. Proof if ever it was needed that the Burnley Protests were not only justified but they actually worked. They heard us, they acted, just a shame it had to get to that stage but they had it coming. As it stands, it's been a brilliant window for us and dare I say, next level business.

The trick now is to keep it going for as much as possible....

You'd need at least £30m on top of Snodgrass for that to even be considered.

f*** me that's a lot of Wonga a week for someone who hasn't convinced in the Premier League. A sign of what the management think of him to sanction that and I'm not knocking the player just a bit steeper than I was expecting. £4m is a snip though.

Sánchez is having medical. He wants the no 6 shirt. Could be more flak coming the owners way.

If we bought him for say 10 million (which would probably be fair, the extra £6mill over the course of 156 weeks (the contract) works out at 38k so its equivalent of singing him for £10mill and 55k pw I guess wouldn't sound so bad..

Finally we have MP and MH in charge who can easily make sense of a good deal. No brainer for me.

I reckon that’s why we got him so cheap. They’ve got a fairly decent frontline now so it’s nearly £5m off the wage bill for them.

In no relation at all, On another note, I hope we don’t sell Byram. A year or 2 on loan could be the making of him. He was highly sought after when we got him. Loan him, get a fee, get his wages paid, what’s to lose ?

As much as I’m delighted with our window, I do really want to see more English (or Brits) in our team in the years ahead. Imagine he goes Boro and is pinging balls on to Hughill’s bonce every game ? Someone would come in and buy the pair of them....

Agreed. Would rather the boy McGinn from Hibs that they’ve replaced him with... I think he will be some player in time

I think the same about the overall deal, I just think almost £100k a week to a player that didn't exactly impress in the Premier League before is a touch steep and he's effectively a back up forward right now if we're honest. I look forward to seeing him prove Arsenal wrong and seeing what he can do. He's been given a second chance hopefully he takes it and becomes a valuable squad member. Let's face it, he's got his work cut out starting ahead of so many quality forwards now.
