I would assume the Fabianski fee will be covered by the likely departure of Adrian?

Also if we are trying to ship out Reid that would pay for half of Mawson too?

With some clever transfer dealing this could be s very good window!

Would anyone take Reid, given his injury issues over the last 2-3 seasons? I remember once upon a time he was being linked to Arsenal, but I think his value has probably taken a hit each season since, due to his lack of durability.

Long way to go, but if our ins are the following:

Fredericks
Fabianski
Anderson
Pastore OR Mario
Diop
Seri OR Santos
Rondon

...That would be the best window I can remember, pending who is shown the door. At this point I'm not overly confident all of those come off, though. Feels like we had this exact conversation a year ago and most of it fell apart in the end.

I think we can ‘fairly easily’ get £10 million for Winnie, if he is not in the gaffers plans then we should sell up.
Fulham could be his next employer IMO.

Fulham had a Championship TOTS fullbacks on both sides and they voted CB Tim Ream as their player of the season this year. Swap out Fredericks for Reidy and they've got a decent defense going, still.

Hang on a minute, I'm getting confused.

So.. Flapianski is "done"
Diop is almost done
Anderson should be announced this week
Santos we're just waiting for a work permit.

And then we've got a whole host of other people that we're looking at, talking to or tapping up or whatever.

Is that about right?

In fairness to jinxed he is usually very good to me and I haven’t really seen him criticise me or comment on the various people who do. So fair play to him, seems a decent fella

And in an emotional unveiling ceremony, Sulli has today handed over his prized gold plated scattergun to Mario Husillos.

Indeed it is.

Even allowing for my lack of interest in the game outside of West Ham these days it's great to see all the talk about players who, frankly, I've never heard of. Hence my usual 'read and inwardly digest' approach to the thread.

Ta for the updates Jinxed.

Decent signings.
Reports that the owners are actually going to spend (the Arnie) money.
A director of football in post.
ITKs getting along.

What strange new world is this?

I assume regular programming will be back in the next couple of days when we sell Arnie and bring in Gareth Barry?

Yaya Toure would be my guess, old yes, but still an upgrade on anything we have in our midfield at the moment

Quite. But not thousands who support West Ham, and drastically less that come on here and with that particular username. Just seemed a coincidence that’s all but like I said, apologies for the presumption, I’m sure we can move on :D

Thanks for the info Jinxed, fingers crossed for good times ahead

There seems to be more contempt between the people that follow Jinxed vs. the people that follow Ex, as opposed to the two of them personally. There are some clear lines in the sand drawn by supporters and on one side is people swearing that Jinxed is the only one who knows anything, and on the other side is people swearing that Ex is the only one who knows anything.

I like to see them both as ITKs, both who have passed info that is good and bad, both that are genuinely worth paying attention to-- I don't know why we can't all agree to just take both sets of info with a grain of salt and not argue over who knows more. I'm not a huge fan of Ex's self promotion, but I can readily admit he often has good info. Won't say Jinxed is perfect, either, but I genuinely value everything he/she offers up, too.
