Oxford captaining our u23's tonight. Confusing that we're actively trying to offload him yet give the lad the armband...

Who has said we are actively trying to offload him?

Just a thought, albeit an afterthought and healthough he had his detractors, but would Drinkwater not make a difference in our midfield?

We missed a trick not going for Marvelous Nakamba. A proper high energy, combative midfielder that knows how to pass.

Oxford looking pretty happy in the highlights from the game the other night...
was running the length of the pitch to celebrate the goals, all smiles etc.
I've read about attitude problems etc. but never seen or read any actual evidence, seen senior players having a laugh with him on social media etc too.
hopefully he is cracking on and trying to break in to the first team

Non WHU but I see Zaha has signed a new 5 year contract. Personally I don’t like him but he seems to be the difference between Palace gaining any points or not in this division. On that basis he is clearly worth every penny to them.

Weird one given his contract runs out in June 2019. Wonder do we have an option to extend?

Weird that he "won" promotion with the other Spanish side but they "elected" not to take him back ???

There's half truths from both sides. The board and agent clearly don't get on.
Reece's future is largely in his hands. Work hard, apply the right attitude and let his talent shine and he'll be laughing - either here or at a bigger, better club.

Seems a bit green eye shadow to note this, but his contract is apparently worth £30M over that time period.
Crazy to think Palace can guarantee that, really. How could they sustain a weekly wage of £130k p/w, in the fizz? Their wages / income ratio is apparently one of the riskiest in the league as it is.

zaha wouldn't have any trouble finding a suitor in the prem should palace face the drop.

On those wages, though? Spurs wouldn't pay him that.

Zaha is a quality player, well worth that wage in my opinion.

Palace are a club comfortable with the Administration process. They've been there twice in recent times, a third wouldn't keep them awake at night.

Firstly I can't see Palace dropping, secondly Zaha would find a club easily, if that meant a drop in wages but it was a club wanted to go to then surely he'd take a drop..
I'd also imagine he has a clause in his contract if they drop to go for a certain amount
Very doubtful he will see out his contract, if he doesn't go in Jan he'll be gone by next summer for a hefty fee

Might just have a scroll back and make a note of all the names that were claiming west hams greatest transfer window ever.

Bit early to be writing the ‘I told you so’ notes.

I wasn't planning to.
I was merely going to see who now is ready to cuss the state of the squad and manager, when only 2 weeks ago they was "well pleased" with the summer activities.
It's making an interesting comparison so far, believe me !
