No you're absolutely right. I can dream that we might try and progress though...mushy wrote: Do you honestly think that under the current regime this club has any intention of getting into the Europa Cup?
They don't give a nannies about that competition and see it more of a hindrance then a help.

At this rate, we're gonna end up with more wheelie bins playing for us that are currently sitting outside my house, after Masuaku and now Carroll's replacement.warp wrote:
replace him with a wheelie bin and we have a much stronger strike force (on a free transfer too!)

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
I'd take a chance on Batshuayi, especially on loan. Only thing is, he's not going to get first choice game time here unless Arnie doesn't play up top or plays in the hole behind, and I don't think either of those are preferable.
1 every 120 minutes this season, 1 every 125 minutes last season, and that's without a consistent run where he's been starting games.
He's only had one regular season of starting in his career and that was the season he got 21 at Marseille.
As for the suggestion he hasn't cut it in the Premier League - he's got 7 goals in 592 Premier League minutes. That's not a record that suggests he's struggled against PL defences, for me.

I'm staggered we aren't even linked with any centre backs besides Cahill. I can see it now. Rice & Diop at CB and Noble & Snodgrass CM.

I can't belive we are going for Batshit again! He has turned us down how many times?

People really do make my head hurt. Not only is Tosun f**king useless he also cost 27million just over a year ago and is Everton's main out and out CF. Equivalent of asking Arsenal asking for Lukaku on loan.screech wrote:I’d give Everton a call for tosun, loan with a view, the player will be hungry for goals and has the last 6 months in the prem so will be ready to go

Evertons main out and out CF!?!?!? They play Richarlson there instead of his favoured left wing as they don't rate Tosun and he is not getting much playing time.
I agree he is looks shocking though.

You'd think we had enough players that don't want to be at the club already !Tackler wrote:I can't belive we are going for Batshit again! He has turned us down how many times?

If Batshuayi is asked if he wants to come and is not even luke warm to it after getting splinters in his bum for most of the season so far then i’d rather we went nowhere near him.

I think the opposite, I take it as a positive. We've been operating better since we went radio silent, long may it continue.Hugh Jargon II wrote:The wide boys and Karren are a bit quiet arnt they? I'm taking that as a bad sign. The project appears to he off track. Pardon?

He's been at Valencia on loan for the first half of the season, no splinters

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
I’d take a wide berth from Batshuayi. I’m sure he’s done decent enough elsewhere but the reported disdain he hasn’t he for us on three occasions is not an attitude that screams add him to the mix. We have enough want away players already.

If we’d kept Tomkins and Kouyate to play in s bsck 3 with Diop we wouldn’t be longing for Cahill.
