Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
palace can afford him, we cant because we could not move either perez or chico, our bid was based on one out to bring one in, we really are a two bob outfit in the transfer market

Yep. Makes sense. They just said it was a deal too good to refuse for Parish.Hugh Jargon II wrote:
No. Chelsea have done a deal and paying part of his wages. When you see their fixtures you will see why..

That's how I see it too.S-H wrote:It honestly feels like people want signings for the sake of it, if we've been talking to Celta about Gomez for a few weeks, and want to take him in the summer, what's the point in bringing in Batshuayi in now, if we had other targets in other positions we wanted but selling clubs didn't want to sell until the summer, why waste time bringing someone else in, why buy a player that we don't really want? That's how we've ended up in the position (squadwise) that we are now.
I know we need bodies but absolutely no way we should be panic buying.

page 300 is for the 35+ year old we sign on a free in February.OllyWHU6 wrote:To be fair it's our own fault. We know you only get a signing every 100 pages.
100 pages - Nasri
200 pages - Dju

I get that, I just didn’t think he’d actually be on that much.Colours never run wrote: No it wouldn't, it would have created even more resentment amongst the squad had he suddenly rocked up on 160 large ones a week. Zabaleta has already publicly stated how much bad blood there's been around the squad recently because of issues with this window and that would just exasperate the issue more.
Best off without him leeching on us at that wedge demand.
Sky basically saying we would’ve gone in harder for Batshuayi had we managed to shift out Perez/Chicha. So that would explain why we seemingly didn’t agree terms...
Looks like just Nasri.

Never seen the fascination with Batishyui , personally I think he’s dog poo. If he can’t score in a team with Hazard et al, what’s he going to do here?

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
If it means we at the least kept Perez and Hernandez for the meantime till the summer, I really ain't all that bothered. Certainly got goals amongst them two alone. We really ain't desperate for Strikers. We'd be 2bob if we allowed them to go without any decent replacements.waynepin wrote:palace can afford him, we cant because we could not move either perez or chico, our bid was based on one out to bring one in, we really are a two bob outfit in the transfer market

Once the window shuts the players will know where they stand, hopefully things will settle down and we can start to focus on playing football again, get a few of the walking wounded back, and let's try and finish as high as possible.

Arnautovic will be fit again in a couple of weeks, Lanzini back fit by the end of March - like new signings

Why, what's so special? He scores and assists less than Arnautovic, Anderson, Perez, Hernandez.Marky wrote:I like Batshuayi better than our dross

The last published accounts where we have a higher turnover and lower wage bill than Palace say hello.waynepin wrote:palace can afford him, we cant because we could not move either perez or chico, our bid was based on one out to bring one in, we really are a two bob outfit in the transfer market
Didn’t actually want to but Batshit - but, bloody hell we could do with a decent athletic midfielder.

Yeh I mean imagine if we could have a striker that scored 1 in 15 at Valencia :lol:Marky wrote:I like Batshuayi better than our dross
