Cancelo massively linked with City for 50-60 mil, that's 50 mil Walker, 30 mil Danilo, all in the last three years. It's a different league to 99% of teams.

Hi lads, evening!

How do you rate really the ex-Liverpool Nathaniel Clyne??

I have my own opinion, but...

Since Kloppo is gone that far with such a (to my taste) only mid-table players like Henderson, Matip, etc...

Makes me think, that Im the one that is wrong...

And maybe Clyne is not that good...

I hope you understand... (and it does not sound that complicated the whole) :arry:

I feel that he's on a downward trajectory, personally.

Bournemouth's defence, out of interest, makes ours look like Fort Knox

Also Arnie to Italy

Juve no chance, Ronaldo, Dybala, Manzdukic, Kean
Napoli wouldn't think so Mertens, Millik
Atalanta Zapata, wouldn't have the cash
Lazio - Immobile
Milan - Piatek
Inter - Icardi and Martinez
Roma Dzeko and Schick, wouldn't have the cash

Haha, ok.

But, you know, football its all abouit taste and opinions, too.

Someone posted, for example, yesterday on here, that he think Anderson was not that good to make it in the first Liverpool team.

Ok, its an opinion, could be represented.

But, at the other side, when I think about a player like Shaquiri.. (to compare with) .. can I only agree to disagree... as, sorry, I think, Anderson is miles above Shaquiri...

At the end, I really thinks, its everything about MOTIVATION in Liverpool.. as Klopp can sell you your granny as Miss Germany, and you would still buy him... the guy can really motivate and talk... buts thats another issue...

Have a nice day, mate!

From where comes that news about Arnautovic?? (It was a year a go the same talk)

I have the feeling, thats could be a bad influence on Noble, or?

As I noticed many times, they both looks to be very closed, some kind of friends or good pals...

I have read also somewhere, that Nob said, he expected him to stay, actually....

So, and I'm playing fantasy football here, we get in

Vorm
Clyne 10m
Marzipan 15m
Strootman (loan)
And Ceballos (30m)

and keep Arnie, Chico and Perez.

would you be happy with a team of

Fabianski
Clyne
Diop
Balbuena
Masuaku/Cresswell
Strootman
Ceballos
Rice
Anderson
Arnie
Yarmolenko/Antonio

I for one would be excited and that is for me next level. Yes 12 months further on we would, from that team, need to get in replacements for Arnie, Strootman and potentially Antonio/Yarmolenko but we can look for younger recruits over the 3 Windows between now and summer 2020. I think that is doable.

I’d still like us to sign another striker. Hernandez and Perez can’t play the lone striker role effectively. Arnie can do it much more effectively but he’s still not a natural striker and doesn’t take up the right positions. We also don’t know if/when he’s going to go on strike again.

Would be very happy with the rest of it if we added a striker.

with Arnie I am sure Pellers is "all in."

no point in having someone on your squad who might go apeshyte so he must be convinced.

if Arnie does another about turn then that's all down to Pellers I am afraid. any doubt and he HAS to be out of the door. if he stays then we have to assume he's good to go, injury apart.

we need to really focus on the absolute minimum of a back up keeper - Adrian played about 5 minutes worth of football this year so it only has to be a pretty decent player.

we have to assume that Pellers is good with Zaba, Fredericks, Cresswell and Arfur

CB's - we HAVE to have another. we got by for the longest time until Balbuena got hurt and then prayed that either of the other two held out. we would have been up shyte creek if either of those two were out for any length of time.

CM - we HAVE to get a good BBM player in - if I had to guess though, Pellers is happy with who we have, Lanzini, Wilshere

if Yarmo, Sanchez and Wilshere are 100% we are good there for another season (or until Jan)

Adrian
Nasri
Carroll

out free

Obiang sold

then once all that lot is sorted we can look at other areas that we "might" be able to cover effectively. if not stay put. don't buy for the sake of buying unless someone becomes available at a good price at the right age.

I'd love a striker too but I am not sure we could afford one now that I would want. TBH Mitrovic or Rondon don't really appeal and another 12 months on Silva might havec developed where we wouldn't need to buy a replacement for+Chico/Perez.

Clyne? So Zabaleta was given a contract for what, to sit in the stand or we gonna have 2 right backs on the bench every week.

If the suggestion is MP is happy with Wilshere/Lanzini as the “BBM” then I am not sure this is right. Lanzini is not one to start with and if Wilshere tries to tackle on a regular basis he is going to get injured, this was the source of his problems. They will likely take the central role of the 3 in a 4-2-3-1and compete with Noble for the 3rd midfielder when we play 4-3-3.

I do suspect we will buy a midfielder as well as a back up keeper irrespective of who goes after that it is more likely we will look to shift players then replace them as well as looking to move on as well those with no perceived future - eg the Hugill’s and Oxford’s of this world - to create some money to fund “better” replacements.

Eg no new CB unless we know Ogbonna is going back to Italy, no new striker until we know who is going same for LB.

I don't see where Lanzini/Wilshere fit if it isn't in that 3rd CM role ?

Rice, Lanzini/Wilshere and maybe the new BBM ?

gonna get run over in the middle if that's the case unless that BBM is more defensively minded

If we use Rice in for example the Casemeiro role, Lanzini/Wilshere in the Modric role and the new bloke in the Tony Kroos role I could see that.

that would mean us playing a 4-3-3 similar to what we have played a load of times or even a 4-1-4-1.

I don't see how else to figure in the rest of the team.

Anderson/Antonio/Yarmolenko wide and Arnie up top

that would give Noble/Snoddy/Sanchez a place on the bench along with whomever doesn't make the starting XI in the wide positions - I don't see a place for Cullen, Fernandes or Diagana in this set up.

Pellegrini is all in on Arnie and him being a major player.

There was absolutely no reason to give him the armband, even if it due to Noble coming off, so quickly after he came back in the team if not to let him know that he was still a major part of the boss's plans.
