This narrative still gets too much credibility. Funds won't be tight (just as it wasn't last season to many people's surprise), only the Owners would be tight whether they want to spend it or not, not that we're having to scramble about desperately for spare change. The money will be there, it's whether the tight c**** wish to spend it or not and Fornals early doors was a good sign of that.Burnley Hammer wrote:

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
City just won the title playing predominantly with a midfield of 3 of Bernardo, D. Silva and a 33 year old Fernandinho, two of whom are hardly tall, physical heavyweights... football has changed.funky chicken wrote:
I wouldn't!
We'd lose every midfield battle, the defence will have hardly any protection and we'd probably concede as many goals as we conceded the past 3 seasons.
Must sign a top midfielder to play alongside Rice. If we don't then I would deem the window a failure.
Maybe Yarma and Anderson on the wings with Gomez up front would be better.

.Why don't you be constructive rather than use lies and abuse to win an argument in your mind?
Fornals ALWAYS had two DMs playing behind him.
No he didn't. How many times do you have to be told this? You clearly haven't watched him over the past 2 years as you'd have noticed Iborra only signed for them in January!
You're the one who consistently uses lies. As evidenced by your last few posts....

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
So when Iborra signed they moved Fornals further forward, is that what you are saying? I did not watch a game of theirs last season but did they improve moving Fornals forward? If so is that his better position?
Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
He played in front of two DMs -Caseres,Fuego or Iborra alongside Cazorla, you child.

He's trying to undermine me rather than be factual.Fornals will be competing with Arnie,Anderson,Yarma and Lanzini not with Noble,Obiang or Sanchez, imo.Gsbgsb wrote:So when Iborra signed they moved Fornals further forward, is that what you are saying? Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Could it be possible that Fornals will be asked to play in either slightly different roles depending on who they're playing and who's available, just as we have done with Lanzini in the past?ashbanki wrote: He's trying to undermine me rather than be factual.Fornals will be competing with Arnie,Anderson,Yarma and Lanzini not with Noble,Obiang or Sanchez, imo.
Either way I'm intrigued to see how he gets on and what Pellegrini decides to do with him.
Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Fornals has got his recognition and International chances by playing as an attacking MF.The likes of Cazorla,Silva,et al, playing the deeplying playmaker role is that they have slowed down a little, but can .ake up for it by their experience and being able to read and dictate the game ahead of them - that's not a role for Fornals yet, imo.

Fornals will not be competing with Arnie, Anderson or Yarmolenko. You do realise those three all play in 3 completely different positions as well don't you?

Throw away all Villarreal official stats and formations, because the font of all knowledge has decided to to rewrite them to win an argument.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Patito,
You have posted about him playing the deeper ball carrying role with us as you say he did at Villarreal. As I mentioned I did not watch a single game so have no idea.
From you having watched him last season, did they move him forward when Iborra arrived and if so was he better. In moving him forward was it that they did not think he suited the deeper role? If he did not suit it in La Liga and they thought Iborra better why should he suit a more physical Premier? That is my concern.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
1) I don not see the point in saying Fornals played with 2 DN behind in Cazorla and Iborra... as everybody (has to) know, Cazorla actually play in the same position as Fornals... imho..
2) Any kind of links, twitters, news... ? I come here to get some news about the team, and the last 5 pages behind this was only about discussions and points of view...
3) Never knew, Rondón was named player of the year by the Newcastle fans... Mmm... interessting thing...
4) I saw some vids of Everton Soares, and more than his tricks, what really impress me is that hes really strong on the ball... controlling, retaining, and dribbling... could be a handy player for everyone in the PL... I personally do not see West Ham paying the amount of money Gremio want, but... who know... its summer... let us surprise...
Cheers!

We have no competent left back.
Masuaku is abysmal all over the pitch.
