Simply won’t happen.
Which is a shame, because if ANYONE is perfectly suited to be a West Ham player, it's him.

Batshit crazy with more than a screw loose, yet also has talent - it should be a given!

Rebic is more useful as an SS/AM than a CF imho (and overpriced based on his Striking ability).

Any good up and coming strikers still in the South American leagues pal? They tend to get snapped up very quickly..

I would absolutely love Balotelli here.

Would score 10+ goals (Arnie levels) and be a proper hero. Wouldn't take us to the 'next level', but would be a fun season.

Taken from C&H - Terry Westley's thoughts on Gomez:
Indeed the whole affair may have been a blind for something else that is going on because trust me he and his director of football Mario Husillos keep everything very close to their chest.

It’s impossible for me to believe that they won’t have other avenues open to players on their hit list and the idea that they will have put all their eggs in one basket with Gomez is a non starter for me. They are closer to the situation than anybody and will have known which way the wind was blowing some time back.
In the Marios we trust.

Hammers.news talked about to ask for Kevin Volland (26 years old, now on Leverkusen) ...

A very good call, imho...

More a winger than a striker, but even then... If Hdez will be our 9...

Many. Dario Benedetto to name one.

Ok, hes 29 years old, but he could gave 2 good years a run, has an impressive score ratio... AND, he wants to go out from Boca, so... I think they can lower his buy clause a bit...

Could be for 15 M Euro (13m pounds) a good alternative.

I will give here others and younges ones in the next days...

Cheers! :scarfer:

You have to think Pellegrini does not want Ballotelli else it has all the makings of a signing we would make.

Volland would be class, just had an excellent season and can chip in with goals and assists but no official word we're interested in him. Would definitely be a 'gettable' signing though I'd of thought.

Benedetto sounds interesting if we could him on the cheap as a backup striker perhaps?

Its more an evaluation thing, I gues... 50/50 ...

Then, you dont have to sign or ask everyone only because they are on free...

I hope Im wrong, but before the Arnautovic saga, I have the feeling Pelle want some freedom in the squad, and as well to rejuvenate it too..

The man who knows:
Moose on talksport just now saying a new deal to keep Callum Wilson at Bournemouth is pretty much done, and the England striker will sign a new 4 year deal on the South Coast

What I like the most of Volland is that hes been VERY underrated, first.

And second, hes a hard hard working player, what I like the most.

Lets hope that, at least hes coming on the pot for some sign approaches..

i imagine have balotelli around in the squad would be fun for about a week, then would get very old very quickly. having to deal with him playing up on a icy january monday morning at rush green after getting tonked is not a burden i'd put on the squad.

Volland also had a season with Chicharito, so you'd think they would have some chemistry there.

Player plus 40m! And our only senior striker, at that! hahaha
Yesterday Thauvin was linked with Leicester for 28m Euros.

The whole problem with Hernandez is that he has not fitted into the last three managers attacking formations, imo, plus £140k a week to be a back up is ridiculous.I fear that 2nd and 3rd choices could have been Rondon and Mitrovic and we could be looking at 4th/5th choices and will be paying through the nose for them.Lower the sights for a CF and beef up a leaky defence - There are, potentially, a lot of goals from AM and a lot of goals should be stopped by a stronger defence, imo.
