Premier League Goal of the Month, January 2017
and a couple pegs for his England caps.

He fills the rest of the space with a decorative bowl full of hairbands.

If I remember correctly, think he dislocated it a few months after he signed for us permanently.

Taking a closer view to the stats of Elneny in whoscored.... it just does not speaks good for him..

https://www.whoscored.com/Players/12520 ... med-Elneny

Only 2 good games this year.... and even not getting good rating in the Africa Cup...

In Arsenal also way behind..

https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/13/Show/England-Arsenal

Looks mediocre, I have to say... maybe on loan would be ok... but by no means a £ 10m, no way...

In spite of what is being said, I don’t think our transfers are done by any stretch.
I still think we will sell Hugill, Oxford, and possibly Sanchez or Cullen. I think Holland will go on loan.
I think we will bring in a defensive midfielder and another Striker. I still think we will be on a budget so I would like the striker to be Karlan Grant, and for the midfielder to be under 25, Paulhinha as an example.
We still have all our loan spaces available, and the likes of Tottenham, Man Ure, Chelsea, Juventus, Barcelona and Inter are all over their maximum squad size.

I think we've done well to have get a couple of our key signings in early. There are still a lot of other clubs that have yet to get going. I suspect most of the Premier League clubs are waiting for the dominoes at the top end(including the rest of Europe) to fall first. Once the 'big' clubs have done their business, only then will we have an idea as to which players will be made available downstream.

Once the cascade starts, we'll have a lot of clubs at all tiers grappling with squad sizes, home-grown restrictions and FFP implications. That's when we'll see a rush of bids being submitted and deals closed quickly.

Traxop they will need to get a move on to start making all these bids, the uk window closes in 16 days!
The European teams are probably quiet knowing some melt at the English fa dropped a bollock by having the uk window close weeks before the rest of Europe, if the European teams keep their targets quiet for now it keeps their transfer fees low as the big spenders in the uk will have their wallets closed in a few weeks time

The stats on Elneny confirm why Arsenal fans think he's a really poor player .

If we want a headless chicken running around in midfield, then I'd say Elneny would be perfect for us...

I agree, what happened to the Sanson links? Weren't Marseille supposed to be broke and desperate to sell? You would think that selling Obiang would cover around half of his fee and he would sort the midfield position out. Id try buy him then scratch around to see if we can find some value in a back up striker/defender.

I think Elneny would have been offered to us - I don't think we're interested at all - the same with Hayden.

That Fekir deal would have been a non-starter for most clubs. It was a packaged deal for both his brother and himself. I think the agent was trying to get stipulations that his brother, Yassin, is to be given playing time as well. I'm not sure there are many clubs that can absorb 2 slots(some iteration of the home-grown rule) willingly.

Elneny sounds like one of those latest smokescreen targets, whilst Dave legs it to one we really want.

You don’t know that Trax. I must admit the fee seems low but he is a class player

fekir would be another arnie situation in 12-18 months , lots of clubs stayed away from him on the basis of what traxop has written i'd imagine

What happened to the Turkish left back we was after? a new left back that can actually defend should be a priority.

no to the likes of medel elnenywellbeck Sturridge

we need a young athletic BBM and one more striker

I would like a new LB and CB but doubt that is happening. The first two positions are the priorities.
