I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.Whu_Law23 wrote:I personally think Moise Kean to Everton will be another Iheanacho to Leicester type signing. Does well scoring tap ins for a big side, but not sure he’ll be that good in a lesser team.
Then again, I might just be biased towards not liking Everton so...

there's a huge difference in taking off a young player due to a mistake and explaining to the whole squad that there will be times (maybe a few) that they will get a break.Sloop John B wrote:

Plus I remember you arguing a few seasons ago that dropping Rice in and out of the side would shake his confidence (after him getting pulled off at Halftime Newcastle away!)
squad rotation.

True, worked with Zaza.Aceface wrote:Interested to see how this goes for them. The Serie A —-> PL striker transition has been a powerful force for quite a long time.

Sounds like Rondon would have come to us if we wanted him...not sure he'd have wanted to play as a backup striker though...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Bakayoko is available apparently. If he isnt a silly price I think he could be that midfielder to replace obiang. He can play alongside Rice if need be and can deputise in his place if he is available. Also less injury issues than wanyama who we were linked with.

I hate people who keep repeating themselves.
I mean I REALLY hate people who keep repeating themselves.
If there's one thing I hate.....it's people who repeat themselves.

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
You could never have watched Bakayoko's performance against Watford for Chelsea and want to sign him, regardless of any rehab at Milan.
It breaks every rule in the book to judge a player on a single performance – even moreso when it lasts for about half an hour – but for that I'm making an exception. I'm not sure I've literally ever seen anyone play worse than that.

Whenever this sort of question comes up, I usually use Gary Breen at Old Trafford as the example, and I still think that beats the performance from Bakayoko .Aceface wrote:

I think he could add a lot to our midfield. Certainly worth a chance if he's available.

Yep. Thats annoyed me a bit too, as I read it.Irrons wrote:https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/07/30/s ... -w/page/1/

But, Pelle knows the player and the man behind the sign better, so, as you said, maybe Rondon did not wanted to play as a (actually) third striker behind Hdez...
So, it makes sense not to call and try to get a much younger promising striker on loan..

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Depending on what happens over the next week, Bakayoko could be the sort of free hit loan signing that I mentioned wasn't a bad use of the system a few weeks back.
Given the lack of stories about potential midfielders coming in, Pellegrini seems comfortable with what he has in that position. If Bakayoko fits in terms of squad places and budget, then he may be worth the risk. Even more so if his current situation can be taken advantage of and a low fee for next summer can be agreed (or even an option to extend the loan).

Pellegrini doesn´t do loans I´ve heard.
But we seriously need an athtletic hardworking centre mdifielder who can defend properly!
Pellegrini must see that!

I think he prefered to sign than to loan, whats something a bit different.Cuenca 'ammer wrote:hasn't Pellers said that he doesn't like loans ?
Actually in Malaga he had players on loan, a lot.
Beacuse, he will adapt to it, if its nothing else works...
