That's not whole article. The last line is "Call 0904 064 1003 for the full interview." If you call, as I did, you will hear (after 7 minutes - there goes my week's pay) that Ivan Modia is, actually, a newspaper man who was first to report Shevchenko going to Chelsea. Well, you gotta have the respect for a man. He also included "a distant possibility for a swoop with Spartak Moscow, whose Alexander Samedov is the real target for West Ham". I think the guy is nuts.Eric wrote:C & P from "CLUB CALL".
West Ham United - Benayoun fee agreed EXCL
15 Jul 2005 11:23
Spanish journalist Ivan Modia reveals exclusively to clubcall that West Ham have agreed a £2.7 million fee with Racing Santander for midfielder Yossi Benayoun, writes Alan Dudman.
The Israeli international had claimed earlier in the week that he was on his way to the Hammers and Modia confirms a deal will go through.
"It has been like a never ending story that is about to end. Newcastle, Spurs and Bolton have all shown interest in the player.
"But Benayoun has finally agreed to terms to move to West Ham."
Bolton were in the hunt for the player, but Alan Pardew seems to have pulled of a transfer coup for the playmaker.
"He has chosen West Ham over Bolton because the wages are bigger. Also the two clubs have a good relationship.
"Racing will get £2.7 million for the player and a deal will be done in the next few days."

Still waiting.......Pardew's assumption that it could run on for another couple of days may be right.
Just hope it comes off mainly due to my hatred for Alladyce....cant forgive him for grassing up Cole and Brevit to the old Bill for the tunnel incident. The fat git was not content with 3 points but he wanted Cole and Brevitt suspended for the run in as well!
Nothern ,gum chewing, ear piece wearing, grassing, twat.
Ahhhh thats better
