Delighted he won't be joining us. After what happened a couple of years ago we should never have been entertaining it anyway.
Plus he's been distinctly average since coming back to England. No great loss at all. Move on...

You're getting better, saludo. Not quite good enough, though. :lol:saludo de carlitos wrote:A shame I feel his quality would have been massive. We should be bidding for the yak now, if only we had signed him last season.

Best news of the transfer window. Exactly the kind of mercenary bag of crap we don't need. Good riddence to a busted flush. :raver:

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
Disappinted, would have been a good signing, providing us with something different even off the bench.
At the end of the day, everyone on here would take the better paid job if there were two on the table. Not sure why footballers should be any different. At no point did the club or the player make any announcement on a deal. Yes, he had a medical but so what? Its life, move on people...

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
Massively lucky escape, IMO
He's broken as a footballer - Simple as that - His run-outs at Stoke and Chas 'n Dave were the clue.
Ignored people who said the same about Robbie Keane, Benni & even Mido, expecting that somehow the chance to play at WHU would magically 'fix them'. It didn't.
No disappointment to be had from this for me. Just saved wages on yet another busted fat **** who'd have his contract terminated in January. f*** him & let him lay about in Greece.

I think this thread should be locked, deleted and we never talk about this footballer again.

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
& oh yeah, Carlton you selfish slag, with your double figures every season with us in the PL no matter where the jokers have played you or how fit you've been - We don't want you in the lower league where you'll rip the defences a new asshole, coz your stopping us signing some fat, broken, f*** who's using us over & over to try out different hotels...
Priceless indeed.

I suggest we just suspend the thread until this time next year when, Greece having gone bust and EG having got out of his two year contract on the grounds that he hasn't been paid for six months, we go in for him for a fourth time.

Re: Eidur Gudjohnsen
Great news.
Even if I wanted him, rejecting us twice at the 11th hour is incredibly disrespectful. But, it's clear he's playing only for the paycheck seeing as he's bounced around 3 prem teams in 12 months, with about 4 appearances to show for it.
Lucky escape, now we don't get to pay him 40k to play three games, lose his place in the team and warm the bench all year
