So they will now not be in the least concerned about buying our 'cup-tied' players. :(

Nice win. Good news all round. Welcome back Keiron Dyer. 4th round here we come. I have a feeling we could have some awesome cup ties coming up this season.

This felt like a complete unWest Ham like result against a known giant killing side in the 3rd round of the cup. As mentioned should build even more confidence in the side. Bring on the Geordies and there decimated by injuries at the moment.

Good result, good to see Tomkins/Collison/Noble playing, Ilunga scored, Cole scored in his 3rd consecutive match.
I didn't see the game, but hope that Faubert, Mullins, BoaMorte and Dyer had a good game.
Good job

Very, very happy with it today. What is always a tricky type of game for us was made to look routine. The side Zola put out was probably stronger than I had feared. Fantastic to see Dyer back, I wish him all the luck in the world, could even have got a goal today, I thought he looked quite sharp. Now if only the board don't **** this all up by undermining Zola we could be onto something quite good here. Onwards and upwards to Newcastle, if we can win that we have potentially good home games coming up to try and push on further...............and finally Carlton Goal is Maradona

Good result. Certainly benefited from scoring early to settle any nerves that may have been lingering.

Good to see Ilunga scoring his first goal as well as CFC going on a bit of a run.

Bring on the Barcodes! :crest:

I'm so angry, our defence was rubbish today, can't believe Noble and Cole's performance either.

(BTW, that's only because I had Dyer to score the winner in a 2-1 win at 45/1  )

Green- some very important saves, dont be mistaken- he needed to make at least four good saves

We did what we had to do today, very professional , and scored some good goals, and had a few close ones. So did they but green pulled of some good saves, though even if they scored was confident that we get more than they would.

Was good to see Dyer come on and also great to see him perform the way he did, if he keeps fit , he will be a key man for sure.

I would not read into all this about people not playing so they don't get cup tied, the way football is today and the squad game it has become it doesn't matter who gets cup tied as you have always a good alternative to step in if a player is cup tied.

Another point of view....

Noble was very good today, found his man 90% of the time I would guess. How did he get past the two defenders in the corner, when he was pulled down? Cant wait to see that replay.

His pin point free kick to Lluanga for his goal was good.
