Just seen this on Wikipedia......
Bertie Smalls aka Lion over the river
Derek Creighton "Bertie" Smalls was born in the East End of London. A career criminal, by the late 1960s he had become an acknowledged leader of a gang called The Ticket Mob who specialised in ballsing up Millwall fans getting tickets in the west ham end.

So what do they deserve then for running on the Pitch after we scored an equaliser against the enemy, 2 mins from time ??
What punishment do they " deserve " for that ??
Yeah talk of a life ban is harsh and I wouldn't want anybody to receive that as I believe people can change and stop being idiots.
But a Football Banning Order for 1yr/The Season is reasonable (IMHO of course)
Sometimes i wonder where some of the posters go to West Ham as no-one i know is like them
A goal in the 88th minute in a derby we havent won in 18 years and some people run on the itch which happens all the time and some of the clues on here go into meltdown

How long for the person who organised the security and left every paying punter at risk because they couldn't do the job they were paid to do ??
I'd start with the people most at blame first...but we all know what they are doing

Mugs.
Not in meltdown, just supportive of the clubs actions.

Well so much for the respect for the club you have.
Do you think Zola and the Players thought it was a fine idea fans running onto the pitch 3 times?!
Respect for the club ??
When are WE going to recieve the respect....
Whose fault is it that people were actually on the pitch ???

Yeah agreed! The planning appears to have been poor on the part of the Police and the club. These should be held to account for their (lack of) actions. But people were only at risk ultimately because of other fans
What planet do some people live on. Give them a banning order for running on the pitch. There was NO aggro at all on the pitch, most of them mugged themselves off, dont need a banning order.
I knew football had lost something about it but always thought West Ham fans would stick together. Anyway you prob call it Soccer ! !
So next time your at a game and end up on the wrong side of a bit of grief, you will be on here moaning nobody stood up for you ! !

Hello Pilly i am Chavs and we think the same, would you like to be friends?
I am with the majority of fans on this one, going on to the pitch is hardly a f**king crime, there was alot worse going on outside & far more worrying for me has been the lack of reporting of the s**t millwall appear to have gotten away with.

BUt when you pay yourr ticket money...you expect the club to employ enough staff so that you are safe.
The club needs to get its own house in order before trying to come down on hard on stupid fans...who only got on the pitch because the stewards had to go away from their usual areas because the Plod was undermanned and needed back-up.
I saw a LOT of very scared people...and the club let them down.

Can you please tell me who was put at risk by people running on the pitch and acting like prats?
IF someone had assualted or threatened a player or fronted Millwall I might have agreed.
People were at risk due to trouble outside the ground and the behavour of the Wall fans in the ground, any sign of identifying them?
I was responding to Romford who said that fans were at risk because the real villans were the people who failed to prevent the problems front occurring.

Forgive me for my lack of respect but i don't really give amonkeys what Zola & those Players thought as they won't be at the club in 5 Years time, those Fans will though, & 5 Years after that, & 5 Years after that, & 5 Years after that....
An equaliser against the enemy 2 mins from time...

It just shows how plastic the likes of Brand are, couldn't even be bothered to run on the pitch.
