Re: West Ham v Hull City
If we can take the same urgency, velocity and passion as the last game, at another nice little 2-0 or 3-1.
But i have a dirty feeling it'll be a 1-1 draw, with us going one up early on but the Tigers getting a equaliser in the last ten, a penalty courtesy of Upson.

I will take any scoreline. Nothing less than 3 points will do. A couple of back to back wins will do wonders for us

It would be our first back to back win this season, our last one was March 2009.Puff Daddy wrote:I will take any scoreline. Nothing less than 3 points will do. A couple of back to back wins will do wonders for us
Unless you count the last game of last season and 1st game of this season!

Re: West Ham v Hull City
Should have beaten them comfortably at their place.
Bullard and Boateng both missing for them.
Expect us to win 2-1.
Team should be pretty much unchanged from last night

I heard Phil Brown saying he hopes Bullard may be back against us. He's also appealing against Boateng's sending off

Any club fighting for survival will make it difficult. I expect these to give us more to do than Brum. Think they will come not to lose, so try to do what Blackburn did. Their keeper has been outstanding, so we need to take our chances clinically
For us, out wide will be very significant; we're going to have to break them down early - if we get 1, we could get a hat full. 4-0

Hunt .
Take him out of the game early . Stick Behrami on him from the first minute - he runs all over the place anyway so it's not like we would lose shape or anything .

Re: West Ham v Hull City
Providing we match Hull's work rate, we should win this comfortably. I know its getting boring saying it, but its another "must win" game and all the hardwork last night, will be undone if we get anything less than 3 points.
Same starting eleven, injuries permitting. Although not everyone would agree, I think Kovac is becoming quite an important player for us as he allows parker to push on and provide a bit of drive from midfield that we have been lacking in so many games this season.

Re: West Ham v Hull City
Another ten day's training and Carlton's going to be too much for Hull with a strike partner. I'd not select his partner until I'd seen all 3 available others train for 10 days, but, if we can keep Parker closer to their 18 yard box than ours, we can dominate them without Boateng.
Its a long time since we've had a pair of victories, but I can't think of a team Zola would be happier playing than Hull.

I have a bad feeling that zola might go back to his old ways. Hopefully im wrong and he will keep the squad we had at birmingham. i Think mido was a bit **** though, really poor finishing.

I am picking a win for us 10 days off to get fitness sorted I hope for the same starting line up and Behrami will hopefully work on his positioning a bit more instead of floating and we should have no troubles.
2-0 Goals to Mido and Scott Parker for one of his few goals. I think we will string a few nice performances and get results.

When you look at our upcoming fixtures there's some tough games to play. If the magic number of points is 40 we're going to be hard pressed to get them. We've used up all of our get out of jail free cards and must win games like this. This is how I'm seeing it (point prediction on right.. ...even this is a little optimistic given our recent form. Total 16 pts plus 24 we've got =40 it's iffy...... just my humble opinion of course but however you see it...we don't have a lot of chances left.

Re: West Ham v Hull City
If we win the games you've put as 3 points (Hull, Bolton, Wolves, Wigan) we won't need 40 points to survive. Those are the sides around us, and beating each of them would give us a very significant 3 point swing our way each time.Canadianhammer wrote:When you look at our upcoming fixtures there's some tough games to play. So yes, it's vital we win those matches in particular. I think we'll win an away game before the end of the season and lose at least one home game, but also think we'll win at home to Sunderland as they are very poor at the moment.
