Early(ish) start tomorrow, so quiet night in with a takeaway and a few beers.

Haven't been this excited about a game since the 1980 cup final, been grinning like a loon since the tickets arrived.

Enjoy the game. :P

Can't wait for tomorrow, feel we will do it, but still nervous, decent side Blackpool and a manager who tells it as it is, which is unusual these days. Been very impressed with our conduct this week, haven't risen to the media bait, just hope tomorrow the 40k plus irons will be loud and proud, and IF we lose, we do it with dignity, lets not give the media any more ammo than they already have. Can't wait to hear the wall of noise when we sing Bubbles at kick off, in top tier so taking oxygen !!!. Tomorrows the day when we show the world what support and loyalty and passion really is. Will be thinking about my Dad who died nearly a year ago, lifelong Fulham fan, but loved coming to West Ham with me and my brother, and remember him telling my Mum how great the singing of 'Bubbles' was. Win or lose lets do it loud and proud, c'mon you Irons. :raver:

This preview on Sky Sports was hilarious.

a) Shipperley has let himself go a bit since scoring against us in that playoff final, hasn't he ?
b) Did you hear just at the end when Cottee, Shipperley and Redknapp made their prediction, that Redknapp nearly said Chelsea are just gonna do it, before realising and changing his prediction to West Ham ? I suppose the Chelsea game might be slightly more important for the Redknapp family...

Any way thankyou for the 2 drubbings earlier in the season but tomorrow I feel will be all tangerine in the end.
If i'm wrong I will be big enough to say so as well. Have a good un, and have a great 2012/2013.

You're right - it is definitely you! And if you're wrong, don't worry about saying so - the scoreboard will do that for you!

Just kidding mate, have a great day, we certainly plan to. Good luck

pharaoh wrote:Just been watching the DVD of the cup winners cup final against Munich, as well as a brilliant game and result it struck me how just one commentator, Wolstenholme, gave unbiased yet great commentary without a "pundit" trying to interpret everything endless replays of fouls, off-side decisions etc. If the ref gave a decision that was that, without need to be controversial or question it and over analyse it. Made me think that TV football coverage would be a lot better without this constant opinion from so called "experts"
Couldn't agree more - whenever you hear any of his commentary it shows those twats like Tyledsley, Drury and Champion exactly how they should do their job; ie. commentate and don't inflict your half-arsed doggerel on people who are just trying to watch the game.
Back on topic but with reference to pharoah's DVD choice, am in Block 133 tomorrow and thus will be hitting the 1965 Bar from about 1 45pm. Good times! :crest:

Me 8 year old (a chelsea fan - I know, I'm a failure) just told me that "its worse to loose the play off than liverpool losing the FA cup final. They are still in the premier"

Needless to say I slapped him one and sent him to bed.

He is sooooooooooooooo feckin right tho! Clever little git - wrong moment to be proud of him tho!

Is there a worse big final to loose? Ill ask him on Saturday night

David Gold has tweeted that Lansbury will start (presumably instead of Collison as a precaution). If true, since Lansbury can also play in goal, does this mean we shoul leave Henderson out and have a fifth outfield substitute on the bench ?

In that case my bench would be: McCartney, Diop, Collison, Maynard, Baldock

No way, can't risk not benching a proper high-profile game such as this. Don't think Sam would be stupid enough to risk this either. Admitedly, it would be nice to have 5 outfield players on the bench though.

Say what you will about Nolan as a player, you have to like and respect him as a man.

Wembley upper let's stand up and sing

Post by BALAGE The Hungarian »

I have my ticket to block 546. I always in lower tier behind goals bcause I like standing and singing. Tomorrow will be upper tier but I'm happy to go. I hope we are gonna be standing and singing all the way through. Maybe this thread will help to achieve it. If we stick together and create an atmosphere others will join. Opinion? Will You fellows be standing? :raver
