You have to go back to 1951 for the last time a Brit was the most expensive player before wor Alan - Jackie Sewell from notts county to wednesday, for the eye watering sum of £34,500.
Gareth Bale earns that every time he goes for a long sit on the toilet. Apparantly he tells people he's off for a Jackie Sewell.

It seems that Arsenal are in talks about taking Ba from Chelsea, after letting Mose's go to Liverpool can anyone understand letting your players go to 'potential' Title challengers?

Is Levy doing deals for both Sp*rs & Real Madrid??

I know Mesut Ozil is a good player but £42m pound?

Wouldnt pay any transfer fees for anyone today, its absolutely f**king stupid sums of money.

Lets get a loan striker in & please learn from these mistakes West Ham.

I fear a stumbling block over an Odemwingie deal could be that ,due to FFP rules, we won't be able to reimburse him for his petrol and Severn Bridge toll expenses.

I'd say Ozil is worth £42m more than Bale would be worth £42m. Absolute class, one of Madrids best players whenever i've seen them, and class for Germany as well in a team filled with brilliant midfielders.

And it doesn't rhyme with 'Hello' either. To join in with the Spanish lesson, the 'll' is actually treated as a separate letter, which is odd because it's obviously two letters stuck together. Anyhow, one such pronunciation would be 'Tay-yo', another 'Tesz-o' depending on where in the Spanish speaking world you happen to be, and to whom you're talking to.

The cunning Spanish also have the letter 'ch', which sounds like ch.

Please can we actually buy someone?

Old injury prone high wages low scoring record in premier league football seems a standard West Ham signing to me.

If we put a team out to play this weekend, it would probably contain no-one we'd signed in this window OR the previous (January) window in the starting XI.
