Pretty sure Andy Rolls was the physio back then and still is now. Maybe the Dr has gone but the physio is the same.Ozza wrote:Think you'll find the medical team that looked after dyer aren't here anymore, oh and don't forget to add the brilliant job they've done with the likes of job etc

I'd rather keep Maiga.Spanner25 wrote:Would you prefer no-one rather than Odenwingie?

I'd rather keep Maiga. That's fairly desperate too, I guess.Spanner25 wrote:Would you prefer no-one rather than Odenwingie?

Le Fondre is a good player. No-one's first choice of course, but I wouldn't be unhappy to see him arrive

I'd rather we use Elliot Lee as a third option.Spanner25 wrote:I meant as well as keeping Maiga

Re: Summer Transfer thread - 2013/2014
I know you are all going to scream and shout at me for this post, but let's look at the reality.
Ok we get Ba not an out and out target man, a real 200% upgrade on Maiga but in ways similar more happy with the ball to his feet where he has the ability to create an opening.
Here comes the questions
1) does Sam change the way we play, to utilise Ba's strenghts
2) during the international break does Sam have Ba standing in the box, whilst learning to deal with the highball being pumped into him?
3)Do we not use him because of his reluctance to the no'2 question?
As much as I would love to see Ba back in a hammers team I just can't see Sam playing to his strength and when AC is fit,and as we know Sam has built this whole seasons strategy around him leads us to question 4
4) AC is fit, is it Nolan or Ba who will get the nod as the supporting player?
do we go with a player who is mobile? can hold off defenders,? has a bit of pace?can create his own chances, or go with a player who has little pace, but a knack for a goal, loves a laugh and a joke with both the ref and the opposition? but goes missing during matches.
Answers please on the back of an old fag box.
I know this is going to stir things up but someone had to say it

We won't be getting anyone, because no-one wants to come here to sit on the bench. Chamakh's outburst recently has just confirmed it for any strikers that may have had their head turned.

I think we need to get better at moving our players on. Spurs seem to do it very well. When's the last time we sold a player for a decent fee? We always seem to have a lot of dead wood.

I dont think anyone really gives a f**k about what a bitter Chamakh has to say.... wasn't good enough! was lucky to get a move to PalacePulls up Trees wrote:We won't be getting anyone, because no-one wants to come here to sit on the bench. What current dead wood do we have?jacko wrote:I think we need to get better at moving our players on. Spurs seem to do it very well. When's the last time we sold a player for a decent fee? We always seem to have a lot of dead wood.
McCartney maybe? Diarra? Modibo? Taylor?
Tottenham manage to get good prices for their players as they paid money for them whereas most of our squad is made up up low cost signings and freebies.

You've answered your own question - we have a lot of dead wood, noone wants them!jacko wrote:I think we need to get better at moving our players on. Spurs seem to do it very well. When's the last time we sold a player for a decent fee? We always seem to have a lot of dead wood.
