We've signed loads of players unproven at PL level so I'm expecting quite a few of the signings to be misses rather than hits.

And I've seen too many people say in the past what a great transfer window we've had and call others knicker wetters. Then see the the same people join the knicker wetter clique by the halfway point of the season. So I've stuck my kneck out and voted undecided! :D

Sam's best window IMO. Some very shrewd signings, and we kept hold of our best players.

Solid-looking window: all signings seem to be upgrades on those replaced, but would have also liked a new, first-choice centre back.

Come on you Irons!

Undecided. I'd probably give it 6/10.

The one significant plus is the upgrading in central midfield. Not sure that too much has been added by way of quality to the front 4. We look a bit younger, a bit more athletic though

As for the lack of a specialist CB; every season in the last three I've heard, "so and so can fill in, etc " only for people to realise they can't around about November or December. Same will most likely happen this year.

Voted no. Centre back and proven PL striker were the two priorities, regardless of how good the business was we didn't address either of those areas despite Sam continually saying we needed more defensive cover in particular.

absolutely correct, and while he's still here, they can still work out a contract.

Every other player is an upgrade on what left.

Excellent window.

now.....lets get them playing....

Yes.

As with many others, I'm slightly concerned about the CB issue. I'd be unhappy at seeing Kouyate play there as cover as he's been our stand-out player in midfield so far. Overall, though, it's looking good. Now it'll all be down to the ability of the coaching side to get them to play.

Whilst I am generally happy with the business that we have done, I find myself still wondering where the goals are going to come from.

We also are looking very light on centre backs, and whilst it's easy to say we have players that can fill in there, the truth is we only have 3 that are centre back specialists. We are an injury or suspension away from looking very light again, and having to use a midfielder as a centre back.

Square pegs for round holes.

Voted with the yes clique. We could have done with a specialist centre half, Song and Kouyate have played there.

Not entirely happy .

No 4th CB, and a lack of a quality goalscorer .If Sakho comes good, well, great , but if he doesn't .......

Voted no.

Overall a good window the squad is much better, however we have again failed to strengthen the area that needed strengthening most. And saying Kouyate and Song can fill in there is not the answer because we didn't need a 4th cb, we needed a starting cb because taking off the claret and blue spectacles Collins and Tomkins aren't good enough they should be the back up. And moving Kouyate or Song in there significantly weakens us in midfield, imo of course.

A resounding yes from me. We have improved both the first team and squad and have also brought in some younger players with their best days in front of them (hopefully!). Also an attractive squad for any potential new manager 8-)

I voted ' yes ' .
It was reassuring to see Poyet choose us when maybe he could have gone elsewhere , we have a great young talent there .
Cresswell is speedy though is prone to the odd mistake , he can only get better .
Zarate has talent and as he has already proven can score from anywhere .
Jenkinson has played for Arsenal already .
Kouyate might be the best of the bunch if you go by what we've seen so far , and with Song behind him can go on those little runs upfield without getting caught out .
We've signed possible greats in Valencia and Sakho , they can go one of two ways , I hope it's the good way .
Amalfitano - if he can replicate ' that goal ' against Man Utd every weekend he'll be popular . :)

Reid has until January to sign a new contract , hopefully we'll be flying high by then but ' breath ' and ' hold ' spring to mind .
Would be great if Lee and Burke get a few First Team matches and I hope Ravel's Court Case proves him innocent for everyone's sake .

Here's To A Fantastic Season !
