West Ham Utd 0-1 Chelsea (14/03/15)
The Boleyn Ground, under the lights; we won't see many more of those.
Let's hope it's a night to remember.

1-5 with Sam sacked in the morning, Neil macdonald caretaker until the end of the season & Eddie Howe taking over in the summer
Re: West Ham Utd v Chelsea: match thread
We won't play as bad as we did today but I still think Chelsea will have too much for us. Hopefully the cup final will have a bit of an effect on them but I can't see it.
Chelsea know they should be out of sight in the premier league, they've slipped up far too many times and I think now we're heading into the home stretch Mourinho will have his troops fully focused for their final charge.
A battling performance but another 3-1 defeat.

If the Milk Cup final goes to extra time and Chelsea pick up around a dozen serious knocks, I reckon we then have some hope of keeping the defeat reasonable on Wednesday.

They'll dominate the five yards along the top of our box, moving the ball around like pinball wizzards .
Even on my favourite table, he can beat my best .
Thanks go to my boss for moving a very important meeting to allow me to go to this rearranged fixture , as the skipper points out, let's cherish these nights as we won't see many again .
I'd go with the same XI that we started with yesterday .What other legitimate options does the Manager really have ?
Regulation 0-2 defeat .

Valencia has remembered how to play and will show Chelsea how much he is worth.
A tight game where we should win but dont take our chances and just fall short.

Re: West Ham Utd v Chelsea: match thread
I don't care what arch-cheat Mourinho would have to say about it, this is a game where we've got to at least attempt a game plan where we can obtain a point. And that's only really likely if we keep a clean sheet.
Collins needs recalling, because if Glenn Murray can bully Tomkins and Reid, I shudder to think what kind of tapas Costa could have them for.
The full backs are going to need protection and assistance on a full-time basis, if, as expected, they have Hazard and maybe Cuadrado, or Willian, out wide, so, again, with the clean sheet at the forefront, that recalls Jarvis and Downing to the wings
I'd go with a 4-2-3-1

Downing - - - - Kouyate - - - - - Jarvis
--------------------Valencia
Play the game like Mourinho once played it with Inter (at Barca iirc).
Run, hassle, harry.

Re: West Ham Utd v Chelsea: match thread
Couldn't really care less what happens here. As long as we get a few more points somehow between now and the end of the season and stay up then I'll be happy. That was always the criteria for me this year. And we had a couple of unexpected wins against Man City and Liverpool thrown in as well, along with a cracking penalty shoot-out with the goalie scoring the winner! Better than most West Ham seasons, wouldn't you say?!
Happy Days

Exactly what I was going to say.....he makes Murray look like the tooth fairy.prophet:marginal wrote:

I'd like to think it will be one of those nights, but it's not going to happen is it? They will have us camped on our 6 yard box all game.
