Just when you thought it safe to back us for three precious points, they kick out Poyet. They will come out fighting and re-invigorated under Advocaat but I think we will just about get the 3 points with a narrow 2-1 win, courtesy of a Mark Noble penalty as we are long overdue one and a Carlton Cole scuffed bobbler off his heel from a yard out which just abut has enough on it to deceive Pantilimon and creep over the line.

Adrian
Jenkinson
Collins
Reid
Cresswell
Noble
Song
Kayoute
Downing
Nene
Sakho
Although; given they have just sacked his dad i'd be tempted to let Poyet at them
If Reid doesn't make it then I'd like to see Burke or Oxford given a chance if either are fit
If they aren't then probably stick O'Brien in there as we must keep the midfield at its strongest as its where we keep losing it.

If someone offered me 1-0 win I'd take it, but got a feeling we'll draw 1-1 going a goal down within 10 mins.
Sunderland will feel like they have a fresh start with in charge and now they will start playing being in a relegation dogfight.
What you do think must be going through Sam's mind? does he field a team that will lose to "give Sunderland 3 points to help their premier league safety and take them on next season? :arry:

Re: West Ham United FC vs Sunderland AFC: Match thread
I think we'll win this pretty comfortably.
It will be nice to see Defoe, that'll guarantee an atmosphere, while two of their better players, Cattermole and Johnson are both indisposed.
I'd pick:
Adrian: Jenkinson: Cresswell: Reid: Collins: Noble: Song: Kouyate: Downing: Sakho: Cole
Subs: Jussi: O'Brien: Henry (recall): Nolan: Amalfitano: Jarvis: Valencia
I've assumed that Enner is doubtful and Tomkins is out.
We must avoid lofting the ball at their 6'8" goalkeeper.

team i would like to see...
Adrian
Demel
Collins
AN Other (Not Kouyate, would rather a youngster or O'Brien if Reid is not fit)
Cresswell
Poyet
Song
Kouyate
Downing/ Nolan - not 100% sure here (Downing if we are going to play the diamond, Nolan if we flood the midfield)
Nene
Sakho
reckon we will draw 1-1

In attendance this weekend and I absolutely expect us to be beaten to a Defoe cracker followed by parking of the bus and us not having a scooby what to dooo.
Re: West Ham United FC vs Sunderland AFC: Match thread
Guaranteed defeat. We'll batter the f*** out of them, won't score and get mugged by some **** goal.

Big Sam. Bringing the positivity as always!“And I hope the West Ham supporters don’t expect us to just breeze past them 4-0 like Aston Villa did last week.”
