I'm concerned. After Rooney did a celebration referring to a news story about him, I'm worried how Johnson will celebrate if he scores...psychoscoredthelot wrote:that adam johnson song has got be sung !!

Most things go for me when it comes to singing but calling someone a nonce when they haven't been convicted doesn't sit right with me. Each to their own though.

Apologies if a repost but it's just dawned on me that the club are not tweeting live updates from Allardyce's press confrences anymore. You have to subscribe to WHTV to watch it live or 'on demand.'
Shockingly 2-bob from the club imho.

Why? It cost you nothing and is better that a poxy tweet......giantsteps wrote:Apologies if a repost but it's just dawned on me that the club are not tweeting live updates from Allardyce's press confrences anymore. You have to subscribe to WHTV to watch it live or 'on demand.'

Oh it's not WHTV is it, it's a new thing.AlfieG wrote:[Why? It cost you nothing and is better that a poxy tweet......
Well tbh, it's ok, but it's more convenient for me to read the tweets but yeah - I suppose I'll register.

Defoe wil score just as he has done against us in the past. We will miss a hatful and end up losing 1-0. Sam will say we should have had 3 penalties and we gifted Defoe his goal. It's West Ham and this has happened many many times before.

Absolutely he should start if fit, Sam won't agree though, we are safe going nowhere we have a chance now to test the younger players.Whufc06 wrote:Is Burke fit? I'd give him a start in this next to Collins.

What's the better formation? A midfield with Kouyate with a completely unproven centre back or a midfield without Kouyate but with him in the back four, where he has played 90% of his time at league level and at CL level at Anderlecht? Why should we take any kind of risk with Amalfitano ready which would provide us with the chance to play him out wide and Downing through the center with Nobes & Song covering. We'll have a ball tmrw most of the time. So Kouyate won't be as vital in midfield as he normally is, when we're only at 40 to 44& of possession.saludo de carlitos wrote: Absolutely he should start if fit, Sam won't agree though, we are safe going nowhere we have a chance now to test the younger players.

What's the point of Burke playing if we have Almafitnano ?
Please tell me your having a laugh?
The reason to play Burke and have our strongest midfield is the second one of our midfield are injured or have to play centre-back Nolan ****ing plays no matter what player or position is out even if it means everyone else having to reshuffle

Nope. I think Kouyate is a very good choice at centre-back instead of an unproven youngster.MD_HM wrote:What's the point of Burke playing if we have Almafitnano ?

Nolan is the exact type of player we need in this type of game.... it will be scrappy horrible and niggly.... right up his street.... Almafitano won't put his foot in like Nolan, and won't protect our players like Nolan does.MD_HM wrote:What's the point of Burke playing if we have Almafitnano ?

A sad insight into our form / mentality when we think Nolan will be suited as it will be an ugly game.
Cant wait!

I fear that with our season all but over, nothing to really play for but pride, and Sunderland will be like a scolded cat and will want to perform for the new man in charge, it all adds up to a 0-2 loss for us.
Defoe and Johnson to score. Written in the Stars surely?

Personally if we don't play a youngster at CB I would rather just stick JOB or Demel there for a game. Move Kouyate back into midfield as it is just waste playing him at the back at home to Sunderland!

Provisional squad: Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Cresswell, Jenkinson, Reid, Collins, O'Brien, Noble, Poyet, Song, Amalfitano, Kouyate, Nolan, Downing, Jarvis, Nene, Sakho, Cole.
I'd go with this line-up from that squad.
Adrian
Jenkinson, Reid, Collins, Cresswell.
Noble, Song, Downing, Kouyate
Sakho, Nene
Jaaskelainen, O'Brien, Amalfitano, Cole, Nolan, Poyet
Rather go with the craft of Nene rather than Carlton Goal up top ......although happy is Cole starts and Nene comes on.
Nolan & Amalfitano as subs depending on how the game is going.
If we turn up can see us winning by 2-1.

It'll be tough seeing these old traditions happening for the last time...Row X wrote:

Just realised this game is 17.30 kick off
wasn't overlyup for it at 3pm but now even less enthused tbf - my least favourite kick off time of the lot (actually marginally better than Sunday at 4pm)
