This

People seem to be getting a little too excited about his performance at the weekend. If he played right back against a true winger I think he'd really find it tough as he's too easy to square up (see his yellow at the weekend).

As for playing him in the DM role, I just don't think he's good enough on the ball. There is a big difference between being decent on the ball for a centre half and playing in midfield.

If he plays it should be at CB, but unfortunately I think he'll find himself on the bench this weekend. Plus I've just put Oxford in my fantasy team, so he has to start!

I'd expect a similar team to the arsenal game, obviously jenks in for Tomkins, and maybe Oxford making way for someone more attacking as we are at home.

Leicester won't be a push over, they've got their tails up after their win and will work hard. I'd be happy enough with a point.

Why? We're at home. We always beat Leicester at home. Sunderland were dogsh1t at the back on on Saturday. No need to be that conservative!

Those ^^^

Tough on Tomkins, I do appreciate that. But Jenkinson has to come straight back in. Tomkins has to fight for a centre half berth.

Early indications would suggest that Billic likes a very defence minded player at the base of the diamond. i.e someone who rarely if ever gets forward past the half way line. We haven't really got one at present so I too wouldn't be surprised to see Tomkins in there on Saturday. That's not to say I want him to player there, just that I wouldn't be surprised if he does

His inclusion would allow Cresswell and Jenkinson to get involved more often at the other end of the pitch. In a similar way to how Everton have played under Martinez with Barry often operating as a 3rd center half with Baines and Coleman right up there

Who's being conservative? I'm not saying aim for a point, I'm saying I'd be happy enough if we came away with one. Just because we've beaten arsenal away doesn't mean we have an automatic right to beat Leicester at home.

Jenkinson for Tonks at the RB possition is the must.
Tonks (Obiang once fit) for Oxford is a sensible option.
Change of the system to 3-5-1-1 is an interesting idea to discuss.

Sendo, it's conservative because Leicester are dog sh*t.

If you're happy with a point at home to Leicester you'll struggle to stay in the league.

I'm with Billy. At home these are the games you look to get maximum points and anything less is a disappointment.

You can apply that logic to all 19 home games.
Doesn't mean you'd be happy to come out of this season with 19 home points.

We should be looking to beat this mob. I don't expect that we should automatically just by turning up, but I will be disappointed if we do not win, because we are at home and we are better than them.

I'd stick with Oxford over Tonks at DM - I was impressed by how he also got forward a few times - so he's more than a converted CB

In my opinion Poyet is ready to make the step in the DM position. I was very impressed with him in the second Astra game. His work rate was excellent and his solid tackling technique had one or two Astra players seeing stars!, :)

We're going to absolutely destroy them, 6-1 with a hat-trick from Sakho.

Not gonna be as easy as some might think. Leicester will come to the boelyn full of confidence and will be a tough nut to crack. Will be interesting to see how the tinker man sets his team up. Defensive counter attacking would be my guess.

2-2...us to make the running and them to get 2 on the break.

Tomkins had a couple of games in a deep midfield role under Allardyce and it hardly worked well for him.

There are better options in that position than him

Couple of solid tackles indeed but he got done for their second goal.

I don't think Poyet has really shown anything to merit being in and around the starting lineup.

Still young though

They will all be out now to mark Payet out of the game.

But he will be a tricky one to keep quite.

Bilic will have the team in the right mind set.

Who suggested we play Tomkins as DM?? He looks like a fish out of water playing there! No need for square pegs in round holes when we have plenty options in midfield already, plus Oxford had an outstanding game there against Arsenal...why would we even consider changing it...
