"I’ve worked my way from non-league and finally got to the Premier League to show what I can do, and if the fans don’t know me from the Championship, what I bring to the table is pace, power and goals, so hopefully I can do that this season."

Confident lad, I'm excited

Good luck to him. Lets hope he has a fantastic career and improves himself.

He seems to have a good attitude and another option in Slaven's tool box...

Miha'il [mʲɪxɐˈil], just like Mikhail Gorbatchov. It's russian name of archangel Michael, so I guess Antonio will get along with Dimitri and with Moses. 8-)

I love stupid jokes like that

I know nothing of him, but of course he is very welcome. My boy rates him, and was more excited of getting him than Adebayor, he is usually a very good judge so good enough for me.

The new Marlon. Lots of people said his touch was **** etc , which it was half the time, but when he was on it he was unplayable and a true beast.

Hoping for the same here

I think we'd welcome bids for both. We now have Antonio, Moses, Lanzini and Payet as options out wide. Valencia and Zarate have also been used there. I think we'd accept token bids for both.

Viva Marlon. When the tactics were set up to suit him, he was a proper livewire.

It will be interesting to see how he fares in the Premier League. I remember thinking during his run of form last year that he has very little footballing ability - quite often, the ball will simply bounce off him and to the opposition. But, he's a very impressive athlete. He's ridiculously strong and fast, when he gets moving he doesn't stop. He has improved during his time here, although he can still be frustrating. He can also earn wins and draws out of nothing. Hard to tell whether he's really good or not, to be honest. Sometimes, he's both. I guess 7m's not a lot of money nowadays, anyway.

I've watched his highlight videos multiple times and each time I watch them I picture him storming down the field in claret and blue unleashing his fury upon goaltenders. For a player bandied about as a winger or a wide forward, he sure has a great habit of finding himself inside the box or cutting in with the ball quite a bit, which is something we have needed for ages.

What I love about this and the Moses signing is the fact that we have players who aren't afraid to take on others and try to get the defense out of its shape. Last year was too predictable with our players taking it outside, hugging the touchline and then putting crosses into the box to 1 forward (particularly after Christmas). Defenses keyed into that and didn't really have to do much to defend against it.

Now imagine a back four facing the wizard Payet coming through the middle with the ball with Moses and Antonio storming down the flanks, Sakho/Carroll up front, with occasional runs forward by Kouyate, Song, or Noble. Damn that sounds sexy.
