Newcastle look organised but lack good players.
Not sure if West Ham should be sitting back this early.
"lack good players."
they spend nearly 50 million in this transfer season

Lovely worked goal but the performance hasn't been that great to be honest. May have something to do with the pitch being ablative slippy as both teams look sloppy in possession. Score the next goal and that will be enough against this lot, would only take sissoko from their team. If that happens then could see us getting a third on the counter.

Good pace going forward, but we still keep losing players in front of our back 4 - if barcodes weren't playing so badly when they get near goal we could be having problems there.
Sorry to see Oggy go off, but not sorry to see Jenks on (assuming he doesn't play like a donkey again) - Tomkins is not a full back in a million years

My missus is watching on Sky Go on her tablet and I'm watching via *ahem the magic of the internet and I'm about 40 seconds ahead of her stream.

Great goal but i think the players were barely out of first gear for large parts of that half. Need to play with a higher intensity and tempo

Anita goes in the book early on and we've won this, he's had a few last warnings now

Started well, lovely goal but we've become pretty sloppy in the second half of the first half.
We're a bit too open. Obiang is a good shout, IMO.
Save the final sub for the last 15.

That's where we are missing Obiang.

Tomkins was r back for the Arsenal game 0-2 , right ght back for the Liverpool game 0-3 and for 35+ mins tonight 1-0 i suspect he is better than the million years suggest he is **** .

Longer studs required for the second half...
Really unlucky for Ogbonna, hope he's not out too long.
Cracking goal from Payet. Still look vulnerable though losing the ball outside our own 18-yard box. Another goal will do, since Newcastle will grab one at some point. No more than that though I reckon.
Come on you Irons!

Sakho literally just doesn't stop does he. The bloke is such a great solo striker. His movement and work rate astound me every time I watch us. Even if he's not scoring he's doing so much for the team. He's the first name on my team sheet along with Dimi and The Coyote.

I know but if you compare the centre of the pitch:
Koyate and Noble vs Anita and Colback. I see very little there for Newcastle.

He doesn't stop running, constantly hassling defenders.

Have to say I'm disappointed with the crowd not getting behind the team at all - it really is like a library at the Boleyn tonight. Sort it out fellow hammers fans! With a bit of encouragement we'd be putting Newcastle to the sword

It's why he's so valuable to the team even if he's not scoring he is constantly pressing forcing the defenders to play the ball quicker, not pick their passes and generally a nightmare.
