Southampton 1-0 West Ham Utd (06/02/16)

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
I really don't like Southampton, although a lot of that is knowing far too many of their fans than I'd like.
For that reason alone; me disliking then, it's usually enough for me to expect them destroying us.
What I want... Is big AC to come off the bench and grab us the winner... Or Emenike... Or anyone... Or anyone already on the pitch... What I'm trying to say is - as long as we win I'm happy

I would like to see Enner Valencia score 8 goals. All of them skanky tap ins.

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
a nice 92nd minute OG by them would be nice , a satisfying 0-1
not some crap deflected OG a proper Bob Hazell OG , giving the saints keeper no chance

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
Austin to score and then fall to the floor grabbing his knee to celebrate. That'd be funny to be fair
I'd take a point now

This has got Big Andy C's name all over it. Was it againt Cardiff a few years ago where he came back from an injury and came on for the last 10 minutes where he scored? I'll go for a scrappy 2-1 win.

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
My thoughts:
- we need to score first to have chance to win this game or draw at least
- if they score first the best we can hope is 1-1, but could go 2-0 for them
- neither Carol not Emmenije will start, but one of them will come in the 2nd half for sure and second one as well last 15min (Emmenije) if we are still trailing at that moment
- probably the same starting 11 as against Villa, maybe Byram would start
Prediction: 1-1
Hope 1-2

Ha Ha, that reminds me that we used to play games at school where only goals scored with your arse counted, the cross would come in and everybody would go for it arse first :lol:warp wrote: and only with shins or arse.

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
I actually hope we rest a few key players for the cup:
Adrian
JOB
Ogbonna
Collins
Cresswell
Obiang
Noble
Kouyate
Antonio
Valencia
Moses
Disciplined defensively and then run 'em ragged on the counter. Might even switch Antonio for Jelavic and Kouyate for Oxford when we're 1-0 up at 60 min.

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
Win sat and suddenly there's a sizable gap between us and them.
Hopefully we have the minerals for this one.
Can't remember the last time we had a penalty so I have a feeling for a 1-0 Noble spot kick.

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
We've done well this season at late or evening kick-offs - if I'm not mistaken, we haven't lost one yet. So I'm going for a win on Saturday!

Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
The Saints supporting side of my family do not like the thought of Big Andy playing against them.
Re: Southampton V West Ham match thread
The boss will put the strongest possible team out for this because Southampton will and Liverpool wont.
Adrian, Tomkins, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Noble, Kouyate, Song, Payet, Antonio, Valencia.
One of Carroll or Eminike definitely to come on, possibly both.
Bodies coming back now will make for a stronger bench with more on the horizon making things look much stronger in the near future, by the time we go to Norwich things should be looking very strong indeed.
A win puts blue sky between us and 7th.

Getting dragged to Balham on Saturday to watch 6 Nations. Anyone know a boozer round there that might show our game?
