West Ham - £25m in instalments for our best player halfway through a season.

Liverpool - £114m up front for a player they arguably have 3 or 4 players just as good as in that area.

I don't think they'd end up in a Snodgrass situation.

Crazy they haven't accepted that. They must certain of two things: 1. That Barca will come back with more and 2. That they Coutinho will knuckle down if he doesn't leave.

All set up for Barca to go after Lanzini instead and the Daves accept £25m.

Player valuations

Post by hammer1975 »

This summer has seen some crazy valuations but the nearly 27 year old Sam Clucas valuation of £20m is the one which has really shocked me.

What are our players worth in the current environment?

Kouyate and Obiang must be worth much more in centre mid surely? £25m+?
Nobes - the wrong side of 30 but still worth £10-15m?
Antonio and Lanzini comfortably over £50m each?

It really is beyond bonkers

Even the forum name is quite apt.

I'd presume if Carvalho was performing up to the standards of his release clause then it wouldn't be just us interested in signing him...

Even now with our interest so public... can't help but feel if he was really a 40m DM then we wouldn't be in the driving seat for him.

Surely Liverpool could do a lot better than Lanzini with £114m burning a hole in their pocket?

6 year deal..

I like Wini, but that seems extreme for a 29 year old.

Although saying that he will be good to have around once the youngster break in to the starting 11.

Now let's tie Lanzini down to a 10 year deal, please.

A bit random, but has anyone heard anything about us signing Kenedy (Chelsea) on loan?

More and more clubs have been pen to paper on incoming and outgoing deals of late.
Soon the loan marked will become easier to navigate in, as unwanted players are left stranded at club.

Surprised if we sign anyone before we sniff out who the potential loans are.

You think Levy would actually let us pay market value for Eric Dier? After we told him the cost for Kouyate was Harry Kane?
