Because we never had the money for him and his club probably wouldn't accept our we give you 2 million now and you pay us 16 million to get him back in 18 months time payment plan.....Eggs'n'nuts wrote:Sorry if I've missed something obvious, but why is the Dendonker deal dead in the water?

Reminds of Emperor Hirohito's speech declaring Japan's surrender following Hiroshima and Nagasaki:wolf359 wrote:This guy got the job

At least we have the best fans in the world to go along with the worst owners.Turns to Stone wrote: Anderlecht screwed the West Ham board around by asking for something called ‘money’ in return for the player.
Sullivan just walked away as he has too much integrity for clubs that like to do business in such a manner.
This made me chuckle

Re: January transfer window
For me Ayew was one of the most frustrating footballers to watch since Boa Morte. Headless chicken type player with the ball at his feet and continually ignored / missed the killer though ball, only to run into another dead end due to greed.
Lets not pretend he was prolific. Yes he grabbed a few goals, but for me was poor for the price.

Re: January transfer window
I can't understand why we would sell Ayew with no replacement and already little attacking options to a rival.
Why would you send Oxford out on loan if Obiang is out for a long time?
We have seen how small our squad is in recent games and they have further reduced it.
And to top it all off, we aren't even close to being safe. If it's true that they have no interest in the cups, why are they doing their best to sabotage the league as well? Because we are going to have a massive task of staying up, even if all our players were suddenly fit for most of the remaining games.

Re: January transfer window
The kids sent out on loan were the same kids that struggled against Shrewsbury and Wigan, perhaps Moyes sanctioned loaning them out to give them first team game time elsewhere as they are not ready for the Prem yet....jus sayin.Bury Me @ The Boleyn wrote:In the midst of one of the worst injury crises I've ever seen, and while having one of the smallest squads I can ever remember us having, we've sent out 6 players and only signed 3.

Re: January transfer window
Jinxed .... I am shattered (emotionally and tiredness )
should I and all of us go to bed or stay up hoping for a last minute midfielder from Bath City on a loan with an option to buy ?

Joking aside, it was never really ‘alive’ to begin with was it? We all knew it really.Eggs'n'nuts wrote:Sorry if I've missed something obvious, but why is the Dendonker deal dead in the water?

It's actually more dire than I laid out.

Re: January transfer window
I've got some news for everyone.
Everyone below us playing tonight (besides West Brom) have picked up points.
As you were.

No time to complete Dendonker deal - only had 31 days!!!
Never had any intention of signing him.

Doesn't matter who they are, our squad is now down to something like 14 people.WoodgateHammer wrote: The kids sent out on loan were the same kids that struggled against Shrewsbury and Wigan, perhaps Moyes agreed to give them first team game time elsewhere as they are not ready for the Prem yet.
We needed the bodies. Really. We can't even train 11-a-side unless we bring in a bunch of prepubescent kids, now.

Re: January transfer window
They were the kids considered to be good enough to be involved and have also been on the bench during our injury crisis. With them gone, who's left? We still have injuries, we have sold more of the squad so are we now looking at the youth players who weren't good enough to play those games?WoodgateHammer wrote: The kids sent out on loan were the same kids that struggled against Shrewsbury and Wigan, perhaps Moyes agreed to give them first team game time elsewhere as they are not ready for the Prem yet.

Re: January transfer window
15-20 goals and assists for what turned out to be in effect a £2 million fee seems excellent value to me.Rays Rock wrote:For me Ayew was one of the most frustrating footballers to watch since Boa Morte. Just had a massive go at the wife. Ultimately it’s her fault we’re in this mess. If she stopped buying all those toys we wouldn’t be in this mess. She’s probably covered Marino’s wage
