So about 10 on international duty. I’d imagine Southampton are about the same.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Match Thread
I hope arnie rice ogbonna lanzini Hernandez avoid injury as we will need them fit and hungry
lose and we are gone win and its a 5 point gap which we will need as we have city united arsenal Leicester and arsenal to come and I cant see anything from that lot
so our next level boils down to beating Southampton stoke and everton we should but we have recently lost to Swansea brighton and burnley . The scorelines weren't even close
Looking for the Miami hard work trip effect to help us ! Fear its the Miami jolly in the sun that will screw us.
what was the point in going there for 5 days and 4 training sessions ? should have just given them the week off before internationals !

At Least the Italy vs Argentina match is being played at the Etihad Stadium so not much travelling for Ogbonna & Lazini.

Local tv tonight reporting Charlie Austin returned to training today and is expected to be fit for our match.
Re: West Ham United v Southampton Match Thread
2nd rate player, injury prone, not match fit. Bound to come on as a sub and score. However, we will be 3-0 up by then. Yes, I've had a bottle of wine with me dinner.Westbourne Bill wrote:Local tv tonight reporting Charlie Austin returned to training today and is expected to be fit for our match.

Looks like Ginge is out. Same hamstring issue which he's had all season according to C+H.

Agreed, we have some talented individuals but the main issue is they haven't got the fight, plus we get opened up far, far too easy.Hugh Jargon II wrote:We will lose. Players ain't got the bottle. Imo

Contract issues and unrest at the club - Ginge would have run through brick walls for us at one time..not now. Those 3 scum bags have done a job on him and I sense he is most definitely with the supporters where GSB are concerned. I have always believed players have their own subtle ways of sticking it to clubs and at a time when we don’t need a defensive crisis to get any worse, I wish Ginge a full and well measured recovery.HammerMan2004 wrote:Looks like Ginge is out. I do wonder if we will see him play again for us....I hope so.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Match Thread
I hate international breaks
next week we have a full week of meltdowns before the big match.
I hope we go for it and not stick 8 back with no striker and hope to get one on the break
have no idea which west ham will turn up.

I like the look of this team, the best I think we could put out in our present circumstances but I don't think that Moyes would risk such an attacking formation with two up front unfortunately.hammerman11 wrote:will Collins make this match now and if he does will he last ?

We could end up winning 5-4 or lose 4-5 and I don't think our manager has the ba11s to gamble like that.

International breaks are the main reason we get fixture conjestion. Nothing to do with the odd cup replay.hammerman11 wrote:I hate international breaks

Slot Lanzini in MF and drop Hernandez to the bench.

It's being suggested that Fernandes might be back for this.

Re: West Ham United v Southampton Match Thread
I'd been wondering about this. That could help a bit in the middle, if he can recapture his best form. I know he was a bit underwhelming at times, but, if my memory serves correct, he had started playing better when Moyes arrived before his injury.bubbles1966 wrote:It's being suggested that Fernandes might be back for this.
However, surely he will need a few practice games before being considered?

If Fernandes is the answer, we are in even more trouble than I thought.
