I'd rather listen to people dragging their nails down an old blackboard for 90 minutes.

Agreed.

I enjoyed listening to Ally McCoist during the Colombia game too.

Urgh, Ally McCoist? What's wrong with you people. The bloke's an utter helmet.

That's because he's a weapons grade, West Ham hating, inane waste of skin.

To me he seems to be one of a handful of pundits who aren't self-absorbed helmets.

Always a pleasure to listen to Slav, Zabaleta comes across as being a nice guy as well. Certainly looks fitter than 95% of our squad did last season, probably because he is mind.

Don't you just love Shearers (scripted) detailed replay analysis, with all those lovely graphics..

It's so relevant and insightful, and not at all boring, or completely unnecessary..

I have to agree with Patito, I think Ally McCoist has been very good.

I have often wondered why they try so desperately hard to make him into a pundit? Bit like Phil Neville he's just not suited to the job

It's like the beeb feel sorry for Shearer, and he gets a one minute slot to analyse a particular clip of his choosing. At full time he will be presenting his fancy graphics on a clip of Archie Gemmills 1978 World Cup goal against Holland.

Don't. Get. Me. Started. On. Phillip. Neville.

Shearer is like that incredibly boring bloke in the pub that you really, really don't want to get stuck talking to one to one as he'll moan away to you for ages and you wont be able to get away without necking your pint and making a dash for the bogs.

I had plumped for ITV, but Rio, Didier and Pablo on the Arg v Nig match is impressive. Young Frank knows his onions too, as does Lineker, so maybe the pendulum is swinging the other way for me. Pougatch is a far better anchor though.

I like Drogba. Speaks a hell of a lot on sense. Same as our Pab.

He is the Reg Hollis of football punditry.

Lawro as a co-commentator is like watching football with my dad - he gets half of the names wrong, doesn't know what's going on half of the time and offers no insights other than just moaning at everything.

Lawro was definitely cock in hand, when he was commentating on the Portugal game the other night, I think he likes Ronaldo.
