Player returning for more than we sold him for?

I reckon it's Michael Carrick for £4m.

it'll be matt jarvis or matty taylor. Imptressive that pellegrini has made so many assessments on Rice, Snod etc from one afternoon of training.

Maybe it’s Freddie Sears? Zavon Hines? Anton? Someone from Luton Town?

Maybe we wised up

1. Cos he ain't in the squad anymore
2. Maybe they watched his games since he left Valencia

He is the one youngster who left who has actually come to something, indeed only injury has held him back from doing more. So glad he lived up to at least half of his early potential, which Is nearly half more than most.

Makes sense after all we all know the first half dozen games are pretty much irrelevant and the sooner we know top 6 or so is just a dream the better really. Oh and surviving relegation by a point Is really no different to surviving by a mile when you think of it, or at least how Sully will think of it :?

Hayden wrote:Well, Mascherano has just signed for Pellegrini's old club. It could be some elaborate money-laundering, third-party ownership ruse for him to now sign for West Ham again. I mean, we didn't sell him for any money but it ended up costing us £5.5 million! I joke of course.

We did sell Stanislas for an undisclosed fee so it's quite possible that it's him or Tomkins? I like them both but they seem more like the old West Ham signings (literally) as opposed to the calibre of the new names we're linked to.... so it's blatantly going to be one of them, or Randy.
Indeed we must never forget the calibre of names we are linked to usually bears little resemblance to the signings we actually get across the line.

James Tomkins - He never really wanted to leave us. We're after a CB. He did alright at Palace last season. Cant see Woy wanted to get rid though.

The same Horizon who completely overlooked calling up Tomkins for England. 8-)

I can't imagine either being ecstatic to stay playing for Palace and would expect them both to be open to offers for Tomkins.

so Wilshire is odds on to join us now . injuries aside he will be the best midfielder we have had for a long time apart from payet. played a lot of games last two years .

good signing if it happens

leaves us still needing a CB DM CM RW
