Dear Mr. Sullivan, if you've leaked Toure's name to see how he'd be received by the fans then I have two things to say.

Nicely played

We'll see what we'll see. I won't write any player off until I've seen them play for us.

If Yaya Toure was being touted as a main/major signing I'd be depressed. But alongside the players we've brought in, his vast experience in the prem, and as a solid holding or defensive midfielder, might give us a useful option. I think as it stands, if Toure is still up for it, I'd rather him there than Kouyate.

Desperately need a Sturaro, absolutely do not need Toure.

I reckon Toure would have a similar impact as Evra did last season, miniscule...

I read something on News Now re Yaya earlier while trying to avoid watching England. Dismissed it as a joke like most on there. Maybe not then. Sounds rather negative an option compared to recent incomings and prospective ones. Can't forget how even an initially decent Song in the end cost us getting Kante, this feels like a bit of a repeat performance potentially.

I’d take yaya on wages of 25k + 25k per match, any more and no thanks.

And to add Mr Sully, just consider how much he is going to cost in birthday cakes for heavens sake.

Can imagine the scene as Sully starts adding up the spending on his casio calculator...

"so you want Seri, correct?"

(types in 22m + 7m and starts thinking of Sturaro)

"I can get you Sturaro if you like?"

(punches in another 40m)

"How about Yaya Toure?"

We were already one of the oldest sides in the league. Chuffed about Yarmolenko, but he's ripening at 28. And Yaya's age can be measured using geologic time.

20 correct me if I am wrong but I think at the time the choice was between Obiang and Kante as squad filers with potential. We do make some wrong decisions sometimes! This summer looking better though.

I'll continue to back the manager. If he thinks that yaya can do a job in his system then so be it. I'll judge him on his success or failure with us. I'd still like sturaro too though.

Please god not Yaya. Old, moody and not a team player.

You can shove your birthday cake up your arse. Sideways.
