Obiang to Sampdoria for £10m appears to be almost done. With 4 years left on his contract that seems like a poor deal for us. Unless, of course, it’s not taking into account outstanding amounts we still owe them.

Calciomercato reckon we're in the mix to sign Sampdoria's Dennis Praet .

maybe, but not a name I would (maybe wrongly) associate with great Scottish imports to West Ham..

Still neither was John Cushley but he was a crowd favourite....

My hair would hurt watching him tackle players back in the day...

That would be the second of two reasonable scenarios for us even entertaining the idea of letting Obiang go. The other being that he wants to leave and go back to Italy.

One of the most important parts and undervalued. Ironically, he was what we've been missing in recent years...an 'insurance man' in midfield.

Regarding Oliver Ntcham, I would expect that Pellegrini knows him inside out as he signed his first professional contract at Citeh when he was 16 in 2012 (Wiki) just a year before Pellers arrived. Although it doesn't sound like Celtic want to sell but if they will then I wouldn't worry about the relevance of the Scottish league so much. 8-)

Not strictly on topic, but I notice Andre Ayew has gone out on loan (Turkey?). Wow, no wonder they don't want to sell us Mawson. Hands up at the back if you said Ayew would score the goals to keep Swansea up at our expense. No one? :)

#nufc have signed 18-year-old winger Rosaire Longelo on a four-year deal from #whufc. Passed medical today.

Anyone know anything about this youngster or ours Newcastle have snapped up? Did we release him?

I have never heard of him, but according to our website he is a "tricky, pacy wide player, with the ability to play at the back or in the attacking third"

signed from Palace..

I think I recollect this properly but here goes..

Think it was Joe Royle, in the days when no one wore shin pads, and had their socks rolled down, went over the top of Stephenson and ripped his shin open. Crowd went mad. We were in the old East Stand when half was standing and the upper was seats.

Anyway, all hell broke lose, my Scottish mate who was about early 30's I guess went over the wall after Joe Royle. Billy Bonds put his arm around his shoulders, told him it was silly or something to that effect (we learned later) and walked him off the pitch. Stratford Express (might have been the Newham Recorder but I think Express) said, two youths went on the field and a "near adult."

We pissed ourselves. Had to go over to East Ham nick to get him, told his missus that we got separated in the crush and were trying to meet up.

Got probably a 5 or 10 quid fine and bound over...never banned from going..

So here’s a chance for IRONMIKE to show his worth.

He’s claimed Obiang deal is done. €2m down payment. €7m obligation to buy at the end of the season. Plus €2m at the each of the following two years.

Is that how little Obiang is worth?

Also the Italian media were already claiming a loan deal was done; IronMike has just rehashed that as his own.
