Kilbane is always sticking his beak in to keep himself relevant. Such a snide, self-righteous little prick. He was born in Preston as well, proper Irish. :asleep:

Kevin Kilbane took 110 caps from Irishmen then, because he is very much English. Born and raised in Preston.

Whenever I see Declan Rice's name written down, I get the song Nathan Jones by Bananarama on the brain.

Yeah hilarious.
Taking the piss out of a famine that left millions dead or displaced.
Seems English attitudes have changed little since the 1840s

Not only is it not funny it's entirely inaccurate. There was more than enough food in Ireland in the 1840's but most of it like livestock, grain and poultry was exported to England to pay rackrent landlords leaving the native Irish only potatoes to live on. When a series of catastrophic blights hit the potato crop the people were left starving.

Given that something like 1.5m people died in that famine let alone the number displaced if we can take the piss out of that can we take the piss out of the holocaust as well?

For me somevof the most distasteful chants at West Ham/Spurs matches have involved “gassing the Jews” or “Adolf, Adolf finish the job” and no I am not Jewish.

Plenty of Anne Frank jokes floating about.

If a joke as timid as "the English nicked all our potato's, now they've nicked our rice" can offend people we really are ****ed.

Anyone who finds this offensive is trying to hard to be righteous. How is this similar to making anti-jewish chants at a Tottenham game? Apart from being distasteful they're neither funny nor original. This was both and came from an IRISH fan.
