Little things in life that make you smile

Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.

That is bloody impressive, I just done 5K in 29 min, & was well chuffed, so I doff my cap to your offspring.

Slightly annoying, because I'm convinced she could do a lot better if :

a) she didn't keep on stopping.
b) she stopped whining, complaining and moaning and concentrated on breathing instead.

If she hasn't gone under 30 minutes before the end of the year, I shall explain to her very clearly how much of a disappointment she is to me.

If she hasn't gone under 30 minutes before Christmas, I shall explain to her very clearly the planned purpose for the cattle prod I bought her as a Christmas present.
Corrected for you Dan.

I'd never use physical threats to motivate. Just lots of shouting.

Sounds like she's got complacent now you've put the heating on Dan. Best turn that off pronto so she has to run around to keep warm.

Went to Wembley yesterday and there was not one little indication that it was Spuds home ground - no temporary signage either!!! It made me chuckle, as did the state of the pitch after the gridiron!!!

Be reasonable. I'm aiming for sub-30m before the end of the year, and sub-25m by the end of 2019.

When someone accidentally cc's in half the company in an email, and then people on the distribution list keep replying all with "please take me off of this mailing list".

Better still is when someone sends out an email copying in someone who they've just slagged off, or included derogatory comments.
Had our MEP director copied into a Siemens email where they were discussing a new metering position and said that 1) he was desperate, so we can charge pretty much what we want, 2) he doesn’t know anything about new metering, so again we can get away with premium costs..,

The annual shitefest known as Halloween is over for another year.
Now its only Bonfire fortnight followed immediately by the two months of Christmas to get through.

Since marrying an Iranian, I've doubled up on festivals. Yalda is right before Christmas and is quite boring with poetry and stuff, but then every March 21st they get apeshit drunk and party all night, and thirteen days later (why?) It's bbq, more drink and chucking greenery in the river. There's also jumping over a fire and that involves drink too but I forget when it is.

Been on the same duty all week, and every day so far a youngish mum gets on the bus with her two kids, and instead of sitting with her face in her phone like 99.9% of mum's with kids, she talks to them, points things out of the window to them, stuff like that.

It's so refreshing to see, and always makes me smile.

And, as this is the snug, yes, she is fit. ****ing gorgeous.

And then another dozen "helpful" dickheads reply all saying "stop hitting reply-all" Headbanger

If I employed people I would treat it like an intelligence test - if they did either of the above, just send someone round to take their computer away and tell them they're too stupid to be trusted with one
