Elspeth Macsporran from Duntulm , Isle Of Skye sent in this answer -

Ofsted scrap Macclesfield school visit because ' there aren't any pupils ' .

Elspeth told me in a moment of weakness to send her prize to The Old Man Of Storr c/o Kumb , she also whispered ' Thank you ' but I'm not sure whether it was directed at me or for the prize she's about to win .

You’ve gotta wonder what they get up to on Skye when the sun sinks early.

Love Percy’s previews

An early start for the old git this weekend - which will give you a few hours more to enjoy his output. Or should that be "endure"? Yes, definitely endure.

Since narrowly missing out on the 1st prize of $3m neighbours are telling me that old Elspeth MacSporran has gone into a deep depression and is on 2 bottles of Talisker a day , she said she could have managed 3 but Talisker takes some getting used to due to its peaty taste . Anyway , as she was too pissed to send in the answer to this week's quiz her cousin Agnes McSpread sent in a postcard with just the word ' ACT ' on it , not sure whether it's an order or an answer , she also added that if she won to send the cheque to a Mrs Old Man Of Storr [ no relation ] , Braveheart House , Isle Of Skye .

Thank You in advance [ she said ] .

That's next week's answer to ' Who was the first Roman off the boat in 55 BC ? ' .

The correct answer is ' Ferret ' .

All prizes to go to Mrs Rowena MacRattlebag , The Old Hoose On The Hill , Skye .

Agree with TOMoS,,

I don't always comment but always read these superbly written pieces (as I do with all the 'front page' stuff).
Sets KUMB apart.
Thank you

Miss Elspeth Macsporran apologises for her late entry this week , the old cow was late home and her sheep weren't that far behind so she's been too busy with her animals to get down the Post Office .

Her answer on a postcard read - Weatherspoons and Loo
