Great movement from Chico for the first, nice burst of pace for the second too. Third is very neat.

Special mention for the General today. Another unflappable performance.

We’ve been crying out for a pro like him for yrs

Cuenca 'ammer wrote:with our overall lack of athleticism in midfield and with Anderson's pace and Arnie being able to bully anyone and everyone, were built to play counter attacking football...would love to see more of it and have been on about playing like that for ages..

we did that the season with Payet I think quite a bit......
Have to agree 100%, that season with payet we played on the counter very well! That same year Leicester won the league playing counter attacking football!

Only negative for me today was Arthur! Had been on for 10 mins and already gave away a sloppy pass in a dangerous position, lost the ball in a dangerous position and gave away a free kick on the edge of the box! ......I reckon he had a tenner on a barcodes win!

These two haven't supervised many clean sheets, but they are such an upgrade on Collins and Read and perm any other combination of defenders we have had over the years

Centre backs impressed me again today, they are forming a really solid partnership.

i-f-m

firs goal was fairly patient we got a rebound but we had the ball for a while...

second one they headed it Rice knocked it on, Arnie headed it backwards and Chicharito was on it like a flash.

third we got the ball back, they tried to foul Wilshere quick through ball and 3rd goal..

plus a couple of other chances - the Anderson through ball for Arnie and the Chicharito through ball (same as last week to Antonio) and Anrie could have had another...

Neither of them are as good as Reid was in his prime tbf.

Reid of four years ago and Diop would be a great partnership

I hope Reid can get back fit enough to play a role of some kind. His west ham career deserves to end in a good way

The 2 cb's look really shaky on crosses and we never seem to be able to defend corners, even with Rice in there making 3 cb's. To be fair we were pretty lucky to keep a clean sheet today.

third behind a routine home win and the most boring 2-2 you'll ever be unfortunate enough to see.

Yes but it's the law that the Manchester clubs have to be on first.
