Not sure what we should do at LB, Cresswell will get shredded for pace, but Masuaku is so often out of position that pace doesn't matter, our midfield is going to be slow no matter what, but I wonder if we'll play 3 in the middle just to try and take up space.

It should be going back to a 433, which allows us to tuck in the 2 wide forwards when defending effectively making a 451. That's the best we've looked, balanced under Pellegrini and the right thing to do against a **** off a shovel pacey side like Liverpool, where cutting off as much space as possible. We have to be clinical in front of goal tonight too. No wasting clear chances.

I will be boring and go for a comfortable 0-2 win for them. It's the default result when we play this lot. I wouldn't be surprised if they get them in the first half and then coast. I'm hoping for a spirited start and some stamina but even if we played to 100% we are so short on players at the moment and they are in such good form that the usual result looks inevitable...

Released from their academy and from what I recall has always performed well against them. Crucial performer when we did the double over them. He is usually always up for it.
