This game isn't for Noble. Doesn't have the stamina to run up and down and the subsequent concentration needed to deal with a top player like Hazard.
Either he needs to have no defensive responsibility and sit further up the pitch, or he needs to sit deeper and mark areas and make interceptions

Absolutely jank, shape is all wrong.
Nasri for Lanzini and Snod for Hernandez, Arnie up top.

Rice didn’t need to run out! Should have held a better shape. The Chelsea player has just passed it round himLongaz wrote:Surely Noble could see the gap left by Rice there, too slow to react if you could call it a reaction at all.

Sadly this seems to be a common theme.smuts wrote:Anderson and Lanzini both totally ineffective yet again.
I was excited to see them play together, hoping Anderson could help bring the best out of lanzini like Payet did, but they’ve been hugely underwhelming to say the least.
Personally I’d drop both of them, but they seem undroppable from Pelligrini’s perspective.
Obviously Lanzini has been out a long time and needs game time but we can’t afford a passenger against any team in this league, the Huddersfield game proved that.

Think I'll watch Farmwatch or whatever it's called. It has to be better than fifteen minutes of studio pundits w**king themselves into a coma over Hazard's goal.

They are talking about Hazard's goal as one of the best individual goals ever in the Premiership. I will admit it was good, the toughest bit for him was avoiding the buckets and spades as he sliced through our non existent defense.

Men against boys so far.
Game is crying out for Antonio on the wing as a release - is he injured?
Arnie on the right, Chica up top. Two strikers away to Chelsea?
Over run in midfield, Felipe and Lanzini our worst players as they're anonymous.

Think the sky commentary team will have to be changed at half time. The pair of themselves have wanked themselves into a coma with hyperbole.
One managed to claim Hazard had 5/6 people to beat, he beat two, the centre halves because they both put in **** challenges.

we don't have a midfield that can run, it's been the problem all seasonflysohigh wrote:Manager picks the team. Playing Annie right wing and a midfield that can’t run it’s only going to end one way.

I know he's been out a while but these games are passing Lanzini by, and with an out of sorts Arnie, we're effectively playing with 9 men.....and it shows.

Zero shots against Everton...nothing so far tonight. When does this season end?
Thank gawd for Fabianski or we'd be about 12-15 points worse off this season.

Chelsea are the home team and are playing a midfield 3 of Kante, Jorginho and Loftus-Cheek.
We are the away side and are playing a midfield 2 of Noble and Rice.
At the very least we should be matching them up. We need the ball to be able get anything out of this game, what's the point in so many attacking players if we are struggling to supply them.
