More like a Donkey's head in place of his own. Though it might take some time before anyone noticed.YorksHammer wrote:Sullivan would wake up with a horses head in his bed, and people would be screaming about the lack of ambition.

Cos his agent would advise him not to sign thatageing hammer wrote:Then why not sign a player pending a medical then he can't let his agent wriggle out of it.

Or ... it could just be a load of bollox. Waddya think?faubert93 wrote:This whole 'His agent is talking to another club' could easily be a last minute push for a little more money from us.
Re Haller ...
It does make the squad look interesting. More than adequate numbers across the different positions plus a few players that can play in more than one position.
Will it be 4 3 3 or 4 2 2 2?
I would like to see Haller and Hernandez as our best option.
We will have to wait and see, I guess.

Surely not Tottenham. Would they spend that on a position they don't really need to?

More to the point, why would Haller go there to be this year's Jansen?TommyHammer wrote:Surely not Tottenham. Would they spend that on a position they don't really need to?
Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
For those asking, I am told it is not "insert club name" that he is talking to.

Steinberg, that's the badger.
So other than him, no one else is reporting this?
We're West Ham, so we have every right to be cynical but I am feeling confident

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
If we do achieve that, I am almost certain we will sell some of our players, as the teams looking to buy them will be hard for the player to turn down [plus the prices] - the real top dogsYorksHammer wrote:To be fair to Frankfurt and their support, they just achieved something pretty major for a couple of seasons back to back, showing growth, and then have started to sell off their best players.
We'd be pretty peeved if, say, next season we finished 6th and won the FA Cup, the next season we finished 6th and reached the last four of the Europa League, and then we sold Anderson and Haller within six weeks of the season ending. This place would fall apart, Sullivan would wake up with a horses head in his bed, and people would be screaming about the lack of ambition.
I suppose the issue here for EF fans is that the buying club [us] is not really a 'step-up' if you take purely on-field performance into account, but that is where 'mid-table' Premier League still holds a big advantage over almost all other European clubs

Nicolo Schira clearly likes to over-egg the pudding, but at this point demonstrably has an inside track on the bigger deals the club does. First to flag interest in Anderson, Nasri and Haller. Maybe on Diop as well?

Haller is pronounced the French way: Drop the H, the Cockney way, stretch the vowels and you're pretty much there: 'Aaalleeeer.
Same with the first name, Sebastiooohh.
