I’m still unsure how big a fan I am of Grady jumping on the loan train. If his future is with us, I’d probably prefer to see him play 15 matches with us across all competitions than 30+ in the Championship.
However, I appreciate that given our wealth of wingers and attacking players this might be better than a season fighting for a spot on the bench.

Nope not by a long shot.
My best reaction I got on here was when young Jack Sullivan was getting all excited about the usual pending world record breaking transfer but it wasn't announced officially. ( as normal it fell through later ) and some of you lot were starting to think it might just happen.
As Jack was a young teenager at the time I said it was probably just premature Jack elation.

Derby have some very good attacking players. If he goes there and plays 30+ games he will have done very wellHet-Field wrote:

Shame we have to let someone go to get him in
Diangana to Derby.
Alese to West Brom.
Ajeti to West Ham.
Ascacíbar if someone leaves.
Could just leave one player out the squad

Going back to this from earlier, who are the 17 over 21 foreigners? I only have 16 so we have space for 1 more...?Gsbgsb wrote: The concern is with the number of foreign players, there are 17 (the maximum allowed) in that squad list so we cannot add another over 21 foreign player without leaving one out.

"Just sebd our whole academy players squad to Bielsa, and they will come totally as new players back.."

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
We're already looking at leaving Silva out of the squad if we get Ajeti in. We'd need to leave one more out to make room for Ascacibar.
Sanchez (for example) is on £75k a week - nearly £4m a year. I don't think that's very good business if we then can't even use him, regardless of whether we think he's not good enough (on here, not at the club).
Think it's more sensible for us to sell, or at least get some solid interest in, a player before we move for Ascacibar.
And waste how much in wages?mumbles87 wrote:Shame we have to let someone go to get him in

Cullen going back to Charlton on loan apparently.
Might suggest another midfielder will be signed.

Only for another "homegrown" i.e. Danny Drinkwater on loan because we have maxed out on foreigners.S-H wrote:Cullen going back to Charlton on loan apparently.

Ex saying lots of loans outwards but mainly the kids + Diangana.
Looks like no inward loans though.
Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
York’s,
I’d like to see us buy the player first so the deal is done
Then look to get rid of someone..
Sanchez first choice
Reid second
Ogbonna 3rd
Either loan or perm..
Sanchez wouldn’t be bad to not include if ness as he only has a year left on his contract so whilst it’s 4 million it’s a one off
Knight
No point leaving silva out as he under 21 anyways which I believe means he doesn’t count in the 25

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread
Cullen finally getting an extended run out in the Championship is the make or break move for him, contract runs out next year.
We either get him back ready for the step up or let him go.
